But you said you are for antler restrictions. What you really want is for people to be able to on the fly age a deer before shooting it. That's one of the most unrealistic things possible.

Not to mention that antler growth varies from year to year based on a number of factors.
No its not unrealistic just make it 4 point on one side.Count points before you shoot cant tell because its running let it go,not unrealistic at all as you make it sound now is it.

Points are different from aging. I've seen tons of small 7 and 8's. There were not mature deer by any means or trophy deer to many standards.....plus again, because you like antlers why should I pass up a deer?
Finally saw a buck today!!
I’m up in Painted Post hunting Erwin WMA with my Army buddy (he’s a SGM in SOCOM).
This moring I had a little 4 pointed come in around 0930. I really didn’t have a good shot unfortunately. He circled me for a bit then ran off. The way this season is going, I’m just happy to have seen him.
Staying one more day. Hoping for the best.

Definitely need a comfort level with equipment and accuracy and enough time with it to know it won't screw up in-field.
My brother started hunting this year with a 12 gauge (different season) and bead sight. I said that bead sight is okay but you better sight it in and don't plan on shots past past 40 yards because even a slug can maim a deer. Well, out he goes hunting and hasn't sighted it in at all (no shots yet for him thankfully). Not sure how we came from the same parents. I am obsessive about my gear and confirm it's working as it should, else I wouldn't think to hunt with it.

At least it went way off and was a clean miss. Almost got a second chance but that last click on the pull back did me in. 
Not sure about every one here that hunts and knows friends that "know friends" who hunt,but the story's I hear is that there is some major wounded deer out there right now.One guy wounded a big one got away still hunting,another hit two and got the third one.Found the second one dead while searching for the third one,dont know how anyone can condone this as hunting.Maybe its just my area but I doubt it,maybe its like the Clinton email cover-up no one actually wants to see the truth.
Bad shots do happen, part of hunting.But continuing to fling arrows without making an attempt to recover or at least call a tracking dog before exhausting all options is ridiculous.
I arrowed a small buck this past weekend. 40 yards away, my arrow deflected off a tiny branch I couldn't see and I knew I didn't hit him well. I trailed him for a few hundred yards through woods, a bit of field, and then into a swamp with 3" of standing water and cattails. I ended up hitting him just behind the diaphram. I nicked the stomach, tore the pancreas almost in half, and hit some arteries in the process. Not my best shot, but it happens. He'll still taste good
I've lost one deer while hunting. It was my very first one, and I've taken a dozen with my bow since. I'm pretty sure I hit it in the brisket. I trailed that thing for 500 yards, up and down ravines, across hills, etc. There wasn't a lot of blood, but some at first. I ran across one small pool of blood, maybe 3" around where it bedded down. I searched for 12+ hours to find it. I'm pretty sure my arrow didn't kill it.

Dude give it a rest. How are the slobs your describing differ from the slobs that mag dump on running deer during the regular season? Hell most are likely the same bunch.
I get it life isn’t fair and you perceive the damn bow hunters are shooting all the big bucks before you get a chance to hunt. Get over it, go find a safe corner and a coloring book and You’ll feel better.
