It's called mating, copulating, fucking, sex between deer, happens all the time otherwise the deer would die off.

Would be nice I love hunting and fishing,big time sportsman just have strong opinions on deer and even fishing.Want bigger deer and bigger fish in the sea.To get back on track been wanting to post the trail cam pic off the kids camera of that buck I posted on page 7.Just knowing your hunting with this just living in the general area is what hunting's about to me.

Today was a wild one, the boys are definitely starting to think with the wrong head. One of my sons and I came face to face (I mean no more then 20yrds) to a bruiser on our way in to a new spot. It was almost light enough but not enough for me to see the crosshairs on the crossbow then we had to sigh as it finally bolted.
Then about 7ish I had a little four pointer on the tail of a doe come cruising by oblivious to me sitting against a tree close enough to smack it in the ass. Then a small basket 8 for about 20 min kept bouncing a doe between my son and I. It was tempting fate but neither of us took a shot after seeing that big boy earlier and 2 in the freezer already from my other sons.
On the way out we saw a nice heavy 8 herding a couple of doe’s about 90 yards out, we tried to grunt and rattle it in but he was preoccupied.
On the drive out we had another small eight run right in front of us. Man if we didn’t have to be elsewhere I never would have left the woods today. I think I like our new spot!

Great weather for it today albeit windy. I’m out until next week. Don’t need another deer in particular so going to take the MZ out to some public land and walk some of the deep areas others don’t get to the week of thanksgiving.

I had 5 different bucks come by my stand Sunday morning. Ended up drawing on two but not getting good shots. That's the best single sit I can recall.

Well I will share yesterday afternoons story. It has been a long time since I have not taken a deer by this late in the season, my "game" freezer is empty and my kids chow through food like savage animals so I decided I would take out the crossbow yesterday. I got rid of my compounds and was going strictly traditional bow hunting prior this year. So I walked into a spot, crossed a small stream, propped a cinder block up against a tree about 10 yards past the stream and made myself comfortable. My view was of some prime area in front of me, and the crossing point of the stream and some game trails to my rightish. Well after sitting about an hour or so I hear some light rustle behind me. I peak over my right shoulder and am looking into the eyes of a small spike right about 6 feet away. I think for a second, how the eff did he get there. He isn't startled in the slightest, just standing. I ease the safety off the cross bow and think, how the hell am I going to pivot 180 get this up to my shoulder to get a shot off. There is no cover for him or I just the tree I am leaning against which I now have to spin off. He took a little step towards me and I thought, what the hell might as well give it a slow try......It did not work out. He bolted about 30 yards into cover and I gave him a little bleat. He stopped and was wondering wtf just happened and I was wondering the same. He slowly walked away from me and I just thought, I can't make this shit up.

I got my dad a crossbow for his birthday this year, and he just filled his tag with a great buck! The call I got from him when he found it totally made my day.
The shot was approximately 30 yards, and the bolt smashed through both shoulders.

Had a hot doe and her wanna-be big boyfriend within 10 yds and couldn't get a clear shot. Seeing new rubs on trees everyday, tomorrow's going to suck for a bunch of deer around here
