I hope they follow through on this. This action certainly has gained a lot of news coverage as well as a grassroots following. However, it won't make a damn bit of difference unless they see it to the end. Just showing up in Ottawa and clogging the city until Monday morning and then everyone heading home will be meaningless. The only way this makes a difference is if they show up and DON'T leave until their demands are met. They MUST make it hurt. Just putting on a big show won't change a thing.

I'm willing to bet money that when an ambulance or fire truck comes up to this convoy they move over and make room for the emergency vehicle, can you say the same for BLM?I am not talking about the principals but the methods.
Search "blocking traffic" and you'll see members on this forum widely hate the practice of forcibly recruiting the public into one's protest courtesy of blocking/impeding traffic.
No issues with these guys protesting. If they start blocking traffic and commerce they will incite derision of their cause--and well earned.
One example of many:

In this one dr evil even liked the post about clearing protesters. But here, since he likes this cause (and has as hardon for me), he's okay with them using the same nasty technique he didn't like there.

Anyone that says this is out of control needs some mental help. For something that ranks this high as a large gathering, I'd say that this is very peaceful.

The truckers are not (at least I haven't seen it anywhere) going to Ottowa for the express purpose of blocking traffic. Will traffic be blocked? I don't think BLM has much, if anything, legitimate to protest about. If that makes me a hypocrite, then go ahead and slap the label on me.

People who would choose a career in nursing naturally have to score very high on the agreeableness scale.
Truck drivers are the exact opposite.
Agreeableness is going to be a very good measure of how much BS you're willing to put up with in the name of avoiding conflict.

Just Pick some business that's outspoken about the vax mandate and refuse to deliver, anything. Then pick another one. Start picking any place that does business with a place with a mandate.
Show the left what cancel culture feels like.

I saw this same skepticism a few months ago after people got their vax. They felt "compelled" to get it. Now there is no going back and they wish they didn't comply.

Trudeau concerned trucker convoy converging on Parliament Hill could turn violent
OTTAWA -- Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he's concerned about the potential for violence during this weekend's planned protest on Parliament Hill by truckers and others joining the crowd to vent their anger about public health restrictions to combat COVID-19.
While key organizers have said violence won't be tolerated, far-right extremists and white nationalists have latched onto it, with some calling for "bullets" or a "massive revolution" or a riot akin to the insurrectionists who stormed the U.S. Capitol a year ago.
A lot of the anger is directed personally at Trudeau, with many supporters of the convoy displaying signs and flags emblazoned with expletives against the prime minister. Some have called for Trudeau to be tried for treason to or to be beaten up.
Organizers have crafted a "memorandum of understanding" demanding that the appointed Senate and the Governor General effectively usurp the authority of the elected government and do away with all vaccine mandates and other public health restrictions -- a constitutional impossibility.
Trudeau said it's typical of "conspiracy theories" that spread "misinformation and disinformation" about the pandemic and how democratic governments work.
