.475 A&M Magnum
Looking forward to that 605 @Elwood. No pressure, lol. Wish I had the coin right now for an upper like that. It reminds me of the dissipator uppers. Del-Ton, Inc. AR-15 16'' Dissipator Custom Upper
My dudes! Could this be the stock to round this build off? @Edwardteach72, @Elwood, @BDinPutnam ?
RRA Entry
Rock River Arms, Inc. offers a complete line of American made, custom built AR15 style rifles.www.rockriverarms.com
What happened with them?Only issue I see with this stock is.... it's made by rock rivers... fuck rock rivers, hope they go belly up
What happened with them?
The green entry stock arrived today. I test fit it and it's not bad. Brings your eye right up to the rear sight. I may still add a spacer though. I also put the A2 buttpad on it as I don't really like the stock one.
I have put a coat of black paint on it and it is now drying.
Here is a pic of the test fit. View attachment 71660
UGH..I remember Springfield was a part of that. I didn't realize RRA was as well. Well, these are the last and only items I have bought from them.It was them and Springfield Armory Inc. who created a lobbying company together.. and the one lobbyist that worked for that "group" who's only clients were SAI and RR worked out a deal with Illinois government who was trying to pass a massive anti 2A legislation bill that the companies orginally they objected to (only allowed 1 gun per month or it was like 3 or 5 guns a year cant remember and more importantly it put a new license for anyone wanting to be a gun shop or manufacturer that had to be approved by the state and cost a lot of money, easy to see why they would oppose it)
Well the lobbying group (again they are the only 2 clients) struck a deal with Illinois that they wouldnt oppose the legislation if they were exempt, which the state did for them.. luckily the bill barely failed from getting signed..
After that SAI and RR got called on their turncoat shit but denied they had any idea what was going on and that the lobbying firm (that they started and are the only clients of) didnt consult with them and they didnt know that's what they were doing
What about a faux flash hider that would just slip over the barrel and could be welded into place? Or would that be considered a "barrel shroud"? I have no idea of any smiths around me that could would do it. I swear sometimes it seems like smiths are harder to find than typewriter repairmen.Ok hear me out, cause it's not my monies hahaha.. but I wonder if there is a faux Car-15 flash hider that you could have a Smith cut the barrel and weld the flash hider on to keep the barrel at 16" and also "featurless"

By original stock are you talking about the minimalist stock with the paracord on it or are you talking about the A2 stock? My .
For a nostalgic build like this, a fixed mag is in order. Any bootleg grip or fake muzzle device would take away from the build.
The entry stock is too short and looks off. Stick with the original stock.
This build more than likely isn’t going to be a shooter or home defense build so going with too short of a stock or a fake anything takes away from what you are trying to do here.
Oh man. You are starting to go crazy with my wallet, lol.Ok wait here me out again spending your money.... handguards and stock ..... but do them in tiger stipe camo
Oh man. You are starting to go crazy with my wallet, lol.
No apologies necessary man, lol. I'm glad you like it. You too can build one.Sorry it's just such a sick build I'm jealous
A1 stock. You are duplicating an M16A1 no? Those are the only ones with those triangle hand guards if I remember correctly. The A2 came with the other hand guards with the ridges that are more rounded and the longer A2 stock.By original stock are you talking about the minimalist stock with the paracord on it or are you talking about the A2 stock?
I think the A2 is too long and looks awkward going the other way.
I am curious to see how adding a spacer (s) would affect the look of the entry stock.
No apologies necessary man, lol. I'm glad you like it. You too can build one.
It would have to be the right kind of tiger stripping though. I've never attempted to paint any kind of camo.
Well, a mid-length version I suppose, but more like the Colt 607 or 605 variants Colt Model 607You are duplicating an M16A1 no?
An actual clone of the M16A1 is on my list to build though and I would also love to do a build with the 605 upper Brownells offers. You are duplicating an M16A1 no?

They even have an action figure.I've always been partial to the Vietnam-era tigers that do not have the white, which I think is referred to as John Wayne pattern (because they used it in The Green Berets).
Honestly though, I like it in black.
Looky looky. I think I heard my wallet crack open...
