And in those places you have to be committing a crime or have no business there to be trespassed. He wasn’t committing a crime at the park and he had a right to be there to fish. The park wasn’t closed.

He knows that John or Jane Q Public will call the Police about a man with a gun. He knows the Police will arrive, not just one or two of them. He knows they will come heavy. He knows this, he does this as a form of game play for himself. While the officers are tied up playing his little game, they can not be elsewhere, assisting other citizens.

810.08 specifies "any property". There is no differentiation of it being public or private. We also know from the posted court decisions that the police do not need the owners approval to trespass someone. Seems like an open and shut case to me.

It’s legal. Same as what you do when you open carry in gun stores. Only difference is that he does so on public property rather than on private proper against the owner’s wishes.

No. Read it again. Structure or conveyance. Also, you cannot be trespassed just because for no reason on public property. The case that you posted pertained to private property. A parking lot owned by a store.

There are 2 different laws. The one I quoted states "any property". There is a second code and law for trespass in structure or conveyance.
Many officers are just getting tired of these games that these assholes play. All fun until a real emergency comes up and there are not enough officers to respond.

The cop took himself out of service. He could have said "good day to you" and got back on the job.
The complaint needs to be investigated. It is more than just showing up, seeing a douchebag and leaving.
Truth is, I hate there so called Youtube Auditors. I hate all of them. They suck, they have no lives and they are losers.

The fishing cop needs to only verify a fishing license is present. He was not there to investigate a call about an armed individual.

Show up. See fishing and leave. That’s how it’s supposed to go. No different than you getting a call about someone drinking in public. You show up and see the Red Bull can, and you are on your way. Write your report that no crime was committed.

Actually, no fishing license is required. That’s for fresh water fishing. He was called because it had to do with fishing.
