Thats how I felt about a 1911 grip. Try to handle an american compact with adjustable backstraps. It feels like it was molded inside my hands.
This is how I feel about the VP9 and what HK started with the side and rear backstraps

Ohes! I think S&W made sure to mimic the G19's dimensions as close as possible. No the 2.0 compact as in the G19 killer

I still wanna try the full size M&Ps. Think they are good looking pistols. And I really like the way the Shield feels in the hand. And if I wasnt so invested in my 19s and was in the market for a new carry gun the 2.0 compact would have gotten a hella for realzy look

Shield feels very good, PPQ feels incredible, Glock feels like ass but I shoot it best.
Fuck if I know!
What's your theory on why you shoot it best? When I had my 1911, it felt good in my hand but for some reason I can shoot the Glock better and I don't know why. Even with slow fire when recoil wasn't an issue.I still wanna try the full size M&Ps. Think they are good looking pistols. And I really like the way the Shield feels in the hand.

I'm going to surprise a lot of you here but the 1911 for me is the perfect grip size front to back and wide side to side.
With that said, I still prefer the Glock 26 because of the capacity. It's comfortable enough that I can be accurate with it too.
Then you need to try the whole "P" line up from CZ. My favorite gun ergonomic wise now is my P10C. The P10S would be a direct replacement for the 26.
Have you seen the 10F yet?
Only in pictures.
If you are on the facebooks shooks customs he has a 10F and he verified that the 10F slide fits on the 10c frame... and then tossed the 10C slide with Primary Machine comp on the 10F frame
Don't do FB. The game plan is to hopefully pick up both the F and S "US" versions which are milled for a red dot adapter. I may play with customizing the F someday but my C and eventually S would see carry time so other than a HBI trigger wouldn't have much work done to them.
Ok so glock fails again in the concept and execution department (will not fail in sales, they will sell all of them because )
Here we will have essentially a single stack G19 but with the slide of a G43. Glock should have just gone all in and made a single stack G19.
This 43x (speculation) is only 5mm shorter than the 19, say you want to add a +1 or even a +2 to get up with the P365 (by the time this comes out sig may finally have that thing worked out), one of the shortest +1 base pads I believe out there is the Taran Tactical, it adds 1/8 inch in height or 3.175mm (they dont list the +2 or +3 height) but I'll guess the +2 is going to put it right at the same height or even taller than a G19.
So what you may say, well adding all this grip lenght but keeping a super short slide makes no sense, might as well keep the slide longer as well and call it a single stack G19
I think that's just semantics. They likely could've called it either one. Maybe instead of muddying the waters with yet another 19 variant, update the 43 which is seemingly getting long in the tooth.
If I don't feel like concealing the G19 I just go to the Shield.
Gotcha, but most single stacks have the more compact barrels, hence iteration of the 43 i guessWhat I'm getting at is the fact that they are keeping the small sight radius and barrel length for no reason

Exactly why I'm not a fan of the 19X. There may be some instances where the shorter slide is more comfortable to wear but for my purposes (CCW or range use) I don't see a purpose.
Actually I have better sights on the Glock. The Henie Straights 8s have a nice thin post up front and a backed out rear with a narrowish notch that allows just a slice of daylight on either side theough. Very good for precision. On the PPQ I have Trijicon HDs which use a big fat front post and big fat dots. The Shield still has the stock sights. What's your theory on why you shoot it best? I would but I've invested into the Glock platform with the Ruger PCC and enough magazines. I don't want another platform and magazines to go along with it.Then you need to try the whole "P" line up from CZ. My favorite gun ergonomic wise now is my P10C. Was your 1911 in the blasphemous 9mm caliber? If not it's kind of apples to oranges. If so then no clue. And shame on you for having a 9mm 1911.What's your theory on why you shoot it best? It was a .45. Colt Series 70. I carried it for years. Became a Safe Queen after wanting something smaller and realizing that the .45 sucks for hard barrier penetration. Was your 1911 in the blasphemous 9mm caliber? If not it's kind of apples to oranges. I was years ago.You surprise me Will. I had you down for a tea cup shooter.
