Yeah, it looks pretty sweet. It creates a sweet full length monolithic picatinny top rail. It looks like it’s their Mk2.1 rail but with an integrated rear dust over section that locks into the front chassis.

I really like this but... do you have to unscrew everything to take it off? If so I'd rather get the MK2.

No, rear dust cover pops off like a standard AK.

It has like 100 adjustment settings to dial it in

Think proper gassed AR vs some over gassed shit bear creek would put out

Exactly. I heard somewhere it has 72 adjustments. Get it to just the point of operation, open it up 2 more clicks for reliability and enjoy. This is exactly how I adjusted my RFB. With the brake and gas adjustment my 308 shoots softer than my 47.

If your barrels gas port hole is significantly larger than it should be and is extremely overgassed, which causes increased unneeded recoil. Then it will definitely tame recoil tremendously. AK barrel gas port hole’s sometimes looks like they were hand chiseled out with an obsidian tool in a cave by an elderly Isis grandfather in the pitch black while the only form of illumination was the dying light of a turn of the century flickering lantern.

Right. I have one of the 74 type brakes on my 47 and IMO that's one of the best kinds you can get for an AK. Up until the KNS a muzzle device was the best you could do to mitigate recoil. Well that short of pressing on a virgin barrel and porting it yourself. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

Well this is kind of exciting for no other reasons than options I guess... but

Turns out that IWI just released or will be soon their Galil Ace...... but it will now be offered in 5.45x39.


Not to useful here in the US since 5.45 isn't all that available, thanks to the import ban, and the lack of domestic manufacturing of the ammo. Also also 5.56 is a thing especially here in the US and you can get a Galil in.... 5.56


But honestly this excites me for a few reasons. Or just one maybe, between Palmetto State releasing a line of 5.45 rifles and now adding the Galil to options in 5.45 maybe 5.45 ammo will start gaining SOME traction here in the US.

Why would this be cool... well honestly I think it would make a solid segue into 5.56 aks being more prevalent

Plenty of steel case to be had in this caliber. Not 7N6 but good just the same. I actually have a good amount of 7N6 but prefer not to shoot it because it's corrosive. Also, Hornady actually makes brass casings for 545 now. Kind of expensive but if enough people get into reloading it and competitors pop up it can be brought down to 556 brass levels. There are actually ways of reloading brass for 545 without the Hornady stuff but it's questionable to say the least.

My hope is maybe with PSA releasing a whole line of 5.45 guns and it already sounds like the demand is there if IWI is going to release a 5.45 galil (granted it was a minimal investment on their part, but enough people asked for it that they went for it) that maybe just maybe the ammunition companies will take notice and maybe start offering more 5.45 options

I honestly cannot tell the difference between a same model of rifle in 5.56 vs 5.45 in terms of feel. It least not in the two Saigas I have shot back to back in those calibers. The experience seemed identical to me.

Ok I am hating how good Sure Shot AK builds (not sure how to word it since they only really make handguards)

But damn this pistol with the prototype mk3 monolithic is just wonderful..

I do want to know what magazine is being used.. cause I see they are using the (insert forgotten name) magwell
