Like a SAG Mk3 rail system. Then a light and an optic. Better pistol grip, RP-1... lol
I'm thinking the RP-1 will work on the saiga.. and God id love the mk 3 hahahaha.. but also yes for the light and the optic. And sadly the stock thing i have is the best ill be able to do with it here in NY

You should get stuff like the adjustable piston first. It's the most practical and useful especially with that stock you're talking about.
Oh I know.. granted the extended charging handle is 1 an inexpensive upgrade and 2 a good usefull upgrade.. lasers well thats just cool and a one day thing
I’d go light and optic first. To install a light and an optic on the setup you want, that requires the front end rail and gas tube upgrade first for the proper mounting options. An AK will run with a factory piston, but you can’t see in the dark without a flashlight and obviously an optic is much better than factory AK irons.
Oh for sure, plan is light and mount first since I have irons, then optic cause irons are dumb then fun stuff
All these sexy, high speed AK pics are giving me a chubby.
I am tempted to get a third Galil in 7.62x39 but ultimately I think three versions of the same rifle is boring and redundant.
It is nice to see that Henry has also become a fan of the design. Very gratifying that 2 of my favorite YouTube gun guys also see the excellence of the Ace.
I'll say it again: The Galil Ace is the ultimate AK, bar none.
I have just started watching this channel wish I started sooner lol, I knew the galil would do well but it did VERY well (I could just imagine how it would have done with a LPVO 1-6/8/10)
And as for redundant idk.. front the sounds of things 7.62x39 is the only ammo people are finding and not at crazy ass prices.. could be your panic buy backpack gun hahaha substitute until 5.56 becomes available. But no I get what you are saying

I do want something in 7.62x39 but I think I will go with a somewhat more traditional AK. Still liking the PSA AK-E.

But what I like most about 9 Hole Reviews is their dedication to a format for the purposes of good, quantitative data.

Nice thread!!! I picked up a Saiga 7.62x39 that was in pretty rough shape but definitely restorable. Everything that matters is OK on it BUT someone did a conversion on it and I'm trying to make it a Saiga again. Has anyone ever undone a conversion? I'm getting parts slowly but I really want to end up in it's original configuration. I really like them and always wanted one ... wasn't thinking I'd get a basket case but I have a goal. LOL

Ordered these at the same time but they came a week apart smh. Finally got the shiny brand new carrier in. I've never seen a carrier in my life in this good of condition except for my 74U parts kit lol.. Not a spec of wear on it. True virgin. Time for some calibration.

Well week ago or so he scooped up a Draco pistol (it was a solid deal) in a trade.
Another friend and myself have been trying to help him cause he wants to bring his chappa into the 22nd century lol..
Anyways I turned him onto SLR and their handguards but he wasn't sure what one exactly to get and this and that blah blah blah.
I'm over here telling him dude just email them, I have in the past and they are super good at responding and making sure to answer any questions and what not.
This is around s 8:30pm ourtime.. he messages us all, well emailed them with what I want and a picture of the gun let's see if they can help.
