i think i may be a member at snipers hide but never did much hanging around.
Kinda looks like the Trijicon 1-6 Accupoint with the mil dot reticle is in the lead here. Its about $500 cheaper than the Zeiss, not an inconsiderable thing.

those accupoints were another one i was intently looking for. no one around me has the good shit.
Me either, all the shops local to me stock is cheap chinese stuff. Its not a big deal to have one shipped to me, it can sit in the office for weeks.

1300$ is just a whole lot of money to lay out just to check out a scope.
on a side note. you edited in your Bullet guy line and when i pressed reply your edit hadn't refreshed in yet but it showed up in my reply line. just a note that i thought was interesting.
Thinking about doing a calendar shoot for March so you may want some good magnification.

a what? doesn't matter, spring break is in march and i will spend that week with guns in hand.
I was able to take a gander through a 1-6 Accupoint actually. Glass is crystal. Its a bit largish and somewhat portly, at the limit of what I'll accept. But if they are like the 1-4s they would be pretty tough and resilant, no batteries. Good SHTF/KISS scope. I'd like to examine the Ziess but I don't see those hardly anywhere, even online and there still isn't much real world info yet. Too new I guess.
I don't hear much about the 1-6 Accupoint either and its been out for a couple years now. I wonder if its overshadowed by the 1-8 Accupower or if people confuse it with the much more expensive VCOG?

Ive seen em online regularly for $1100. A couple times at $999. You get what you pay for.
one shot at each month the date you hit = points for that month. Might give bonus points for federal holidays not sure though.

The only scope I have bought in the blind was the Vortex Golden Eagle. I went and bought a second after getting my hands on the first one.

Sheet of paper. Each month is around 2.5 X 2.5 inches
Like I says, I've laid hands on one before, excellent glass, clear edge to edge, good FOV, body of the scope disappears almost as much as those amazing Razor HDs. From what I saw I have no problem droping that kinda dosh on one.

I bought my razor hd gen 2 blind.....it is a amazing scope.
If those things weren't 25 freakin ounces I'd buy one for sure! The optical clarity and FOV are outstanding! Like the reticles too, and I guess they are nuclear daylight bright. Just too chunky for the role I wanna put it in, hell the Trijicon is borderline itself, hence my interest in the 17oz Zeiss.

Well I just hit 40, we'll see what I do on the eye chart at the next DOT phys. Last time I was still 20/10 in the right eye.

I turned 40 a couple months ago, eyes r still good. I have a scale for when I make sausage. You could just use a normal scale, just weight yourself with and without the rifle and do math.

I use those 0 apr credit cards to buy my high end stuff. Just make sure u pay it off before the interest starts. I bought it from eurooptics, they knocked 300 or 400 off when I told them I was a snipershide member.
Weighs the same as my Rem 700 30-06. Not too much lugging around with that one I take it.
