Zero, my first ever, first time playing with a Glock this year.. total rookie but I don't find the trigger all that bad. Not as nice as HK, but not bad either.
Low left is very common in new glock shooters, you will eventually get it (if not I see Hk just released an optics ready VP9, so might even be able to scoop up a slide, or have yours milled for less than a new slide)

Try shooting it with your pinky extended. If it fixes itself then it’s too much pressure with that pinky.
I only shoot low left when I have a full grip. When I shoot something like a Glock 26 where the pinky dangles, it doesn’t happen to me.

More than likely its not the gun or the Dot. Get some dummy rds and mix them in your mags, better yet have a buddy do it for you! I would say your flinching and pulling the gun low and shooting left. It is a very common thing & hard to break! Try shooting from a SOLID rest with the dot and see how it goes. What distance did you sight in your RedDot at,I did 25yrds but I see some guys like 15yrds,I will bench mine @ 15 and compare it with the 25 that I have. Here are a couple of targets I shot a month or so ago with my CZ-07 @ 25yrds from a solid rest.

I watched this video the other day. Just confused me more about which red dot zero distance to choose for pistols, lol. Sig Sauer Academy teaches the 15 yard zero, Aaron Cowan of Sage Dynamics swears by the 25 yard zero, then Scott Jedlinski of Modern Samurai Project uses a 10 yard zero.
Honestly I think any of them would be fine. I'm going with 10. That's easiest for me to get consistent groups, and being within an inch up to about 60 yards is more accurate than me. I'm not going for X's.
I was doing a 25 yard zero with 147g HST (I posted a video one dude did going over the actual ballistic trajectory and what not of a 147g HST from a G19)
But I'm thinking of going to a 124g gold dot (which is Aaron Cowens ammo of choice followed by HST, maybe +p idk yet or just 124g maybe +p HST) so I'm not sure what zero I plan on doing in the end, since it's almost that time of year and have to switch out my battery for my RMR.

IMO anyway, shooting 1" groups for a defensive situation isn't of benefit. Let's say you drop 10 rounds into a 1" group center mass, you basically have one wound channel and may not hit a critical component. If you dump 10 rounds into an 8" group you have more wound channels and will cause more blood loss.
Just my simple theory.
I’ll be switching to that same exact ammo. Pretty sure I’ll be going with the Speer Gold Dot 124gr +P.

I agree! Multiple sound channels definitely works great for more blood loss and stopping a threat. But that should be by choice, not by the inherent inaccuracy of your firearm. If you’re zeroing any firearm especially a defensive pistol at 10 yards (even 25 yards) and you’re shooting 8” groups...that’s a problem. Theoretically in a perfect world your gun should be able to put all 10 rounds through one hole. In a real defensive situation you’re not going to be able to put all 10 rounds into one hole...no one can. But your gun should have the capability of doing so.
I get my ammo online. I’d like to think I get pretty good deals. I can get boxes of 50 rounds of GD LE Duty 124gr+P for $32.19 a box.
Same here. I read the reviews on them and watched plenty of videos of people shooting them to know that I won’t be using them.
By your definition I am the ultimate defensive shooter. All my targets look like they were shot with a shotgun.
Yea I have to start ordering online. I just always forget or when it's time to buy ammo I am impatient and want to do so now. Plus if I'm just grabbing 2 boxes of defensive ammo it tends to be the same or cheaper in store sometimes

Absolutely, gun should be capable of one hole. I only bring it up because I can't believe how many time I've heard in person guys talk about the need to have small groups in real life defensive situation. I just think its absurd. A few of them just just dont get it. You can literally put 100 rounds through the body and not hit a fuckin thing, then what do you do?

I used to shoot bullseye and wasn't happy if I didnt cut the X ring out. It took me a long time to teach myself to not be concerned with how tight my groups were during defensive target practice. Pie plate is fine lol.

Yep. Critical component is the main thing. Aim for the heart and spinal column. Blood loss on flesh and non vitals only matters if you want him to die faster later.

I agree guys, shooting small groups is not your concern with defensive applications, "BUT" with that said and that's why I showed you what my gun can do with pics of the groups. I think its important to know the capabilities of your gun and make sure its "capable" of shooting where you aim it and it's consistent enough for your application! I have shot 135 HSTs with similar results but don't waste defensive ammo very often, it's not really wasting it but I know what it can do and when I rotate my stock I always check the next batch! I guess I will play with the 0 of my pistol and just see where we end up,I used the 25yrds like Aaron from Sage Dynamics uses but I did just watch the vid from Colion & it made me think a bit so further testing is in my future & hey what can be wrong with more range trips! I'll keep ya posted!
