Holosun will fit on this, just be a little taller than mounting on a direct plate, or milled slide.

I haven’t read Every page of this thread but I have read most of it. There is some excellent info. Here. I have an RMR sight on my Browning Buckmark and I am seriously leaning towards putting a Vortex Venom on my M&P Shield. I am however still on the fence as to wether or not I want to send the slide out to be milled vs a mounting plate.
I had the same concern when I did my CZ. I decided to buy a second slide and send it out for milling. Not the most cost effective way of doing it but what the hell. I now have the original slide to use whenever have the desire to shoot irons.
The kicker is once I started using the red dot I don't think I am ever going back to irons only. I've already decided to send a few guns out for milling and any new purchases will be optics ready if possible.

I’m also still a little hung up on the moa. The moa on my buckmark is 3 moa. But thats more for target shooting. I’ve been reading and looking at some videos and some are suggesting that 6 moa is best for your SD gun.

Your personal preference based on intended use. I went with the Trijicon RMR type 2 adjustable. It's a 3.25 MOA dot but has adjustable brightness. It's small enough for precise shots but when you turn up the brightness the dot "seems" to grow. So far I haven't had any trouble picking up the dot when I draw in both defensive practice as well as competition.

The Holosun 507c I'm using has a 2 moa dot and a 32 moa ring. Can use dot with ring, dot alone, or ring alone. I like the ring with dot. It allows for accurate, slow, shooting or more rapid shooting with good center-of-mass target acquisition with the large red ring.
From what I’ve read up on and the reason I went with the 3.25moa RMR 06 Type 2 was because you’re not really going to run your reticle very dim. You’re going to have the intensity pretty bright, which will cause some starbursting. When that happens the reticle appears a little larger than 3.25moa. If you do that with the larger 6.5moa version, you’ll end up with something like a 12moa dot. I didn’t want to go with the 1moa version since that’s mainly based for specifically pure accuracy. When you’re zero’ing, you turn the brightness down till you can barely see it so it makes it very crisp. So I went with the happy medium. I think that’s what the majority of people that get RMR’s go with since the 3.25moa versions are the ones that are sold the most. At least that’s my two cents on it. I’m sure there are some other good opinions.

I neglected to mention that I also have a Burris FF III on a 5” .44 mag zeroed at 25 yrds. that I use for swinging steel target shooting at my club. It’s adjustable at 3-4 moa and is damned accurate.

I'm testing out a cheap green dot tomorrow. I bought the ADE one from Amazon for my Glock 21 (purchased here) which I rarely use because I held off so long getting a dot for it. Ultimately if I like it, I'm going to set myself up for it so I can use it for USPSA along with my P-80 Glock 10 long slide setup. I can shoot both guns at my range's matches so I'd like to take advantage of that ability.
So after a few days with my G45 frame and RMR'd G19 slide I've come to a few conclusions.
1) I really understand the whole fishing problem some people have and are afraid of. I would have it a bit with my standard G19 and it get better with the more reps I performed to the point of I was getting more comfortable in my draw presentation but it was still there.
2) I hate the G19... mainly where the hump landed in my hand causing presentation issues (above mentioned) the G17 has always felt better in my hand and man tossing the RMR on a G17 type frame that dot is just there always, cant wait to run it on the clock..
Conclusion, I still love red dots. Even more so now.

G17/34/45 grip > other glocks

Forgot to update on mine. Two shots and the whole thing flew off the gun! Lol
The screws that mount the plate into the sight cutout don’t go deep enough into the adapter to hold it on tight. I’m going to either try to find new screws or go with a different mount. At least the sight didn’t break. Back to the drawing board with my cheap setup.

So Aaron Cowen did an update on IG yesterday.
Looks like the 508T V2 is holding up and passed the initial 2k mark (as expected)
And the 509 is just crushing it and on it's way to the 10k mark with no failures (that means 10,000 rounds fired, but also 20 shoulder height drops onto concrete or a rock on the optic itself)

Trijicon has been and still is the front runner for being the chosen optic for pistols. But with Holosun really taking big strides it’s going to force Trijicon to revamp their lineup and include some newer/nicer features. For example the ability to change batteries without having to remount the optic, possible alternative power source (solar), the ability to change the reticle, reticle color options...things of that nature. Because with the reviews the new Holosun’s are getting, they are going to take a LOT of business away from Trijicon. I remember getting my Holosun HS503GU for my AR and it’s great. Built like a tank and is really clear glass, and has great features. Not to mention a hell of a lot cheaper than an Aimpoint T2.
I bought the 507c because the version 1 is selli6 really cheap right now. At this point, I would buy the 508t over the trijicon even if they were the same price.
My point exactly. Holosun has been going a really good job. Especially with them updating many of their optics to the new V2’s. Trijicon is going to have to step their game up.
So I really do want an agency arms multi optic cut
