what if the PP holder is driving his/her spouse's car? does the LEO know if the car is stolen? Is the criminal held to the same standard

They already know your DL info if you've ever done an amendment. Info was sent in by your FFL, or at the very least on his 4473 form.
Don't recertify they'll probably pull your DL as well.

So is anyone planning on not complying at all? Like never? What do you suppose the consequences will be? Do you think maybe if you simply decide no to comply and go and buy a pistol they will turn you down when you go to amend it? Seems like a bunch of systems have to work together to catch that.

Tied to DMV .. ok so I'm driving my friends car or my moms who does not have a PP .. this will really work out well .. F this State ..
OR, what happens if someone is using your vehicle and they think that person has a PP but doesn't ? Sometimes misunderstandings can get out of hand.
I see no good from any of this, but I suppose this is the end game to just have everyone on as many list as possible, so much for privacy and all for exercising your rights.
What would be of concern to me is if a member of my family, or perhaps a friend I loan it to is driving a vehicle registered to me, and the officer gets antsy or worse when they stop them with the vehicle being registered to me, a CCW holder.
I can see the potential for something bad happening, even though I think it is a remote possibility.

The consequences will be revocation of your license resulting in the confiscation of handguns and if I'm not mistaken the confiscation of long guns as well according to the Unsafe Act. (Not sure about the long guns but most definitely your handguns would be lost.)
If you want to keep and carry your guns, this is not something worth fighting in my opinion.

Just curious since this seems like it will really back people into a corner. Unlike unsafe there seems to really be no way around it. They actually know exactly what you have. I think this would be great to show people that think it's a conspiracy that registration leads to confiscation. It's exactly that. You've registered all your pistols and now if you don't "re-certify" your PP then you can have your pistols confiscated because they know exactly what you have. But there is a whole year left and we might be seeing youge changes with the new administration. I think the people already rushing to do this are a bit nuts.

the issue is quite easy to resolve.....move. But then again, in Pa you have to renew every 5 years, Florida.....Utah.....How many states have to renew? and how many states charge you to renew?

No way around it but I see nothing good coming out of this. How many cases have there been with people being admitted to hospitals then having their permits revoked because someone "accidentally" said they were involuntarily permitted? Or how about the guy when unSAFE first got passed who had the State Police knocking on his door because he was prescribed anti-anxiety medication? That last one got resolved but how many people are going to lose ALL of their guns (hand and long) because of something like that?

Confiscation of your long guns as well, even though you do not need a permit for them NOW. The state views you unfit to have any gun when they deny your re-certification.

The country is under the same management, just a different style of managing. In regards to that having any say in what the Socialist State of New York does, it doesn't to an extent. We have the same Governor, which we could have voted out of office, but that is a totally different thread. If a National Reciprocity is passed and signed into law, that will have to be followed. Our woes, our rights being violated everyday will continue in this State.
I will repeat what I have been saying, even at the Canadian Forum, the state and local level are where you have more influence. When the right people are voted in, people who value all of our liberties, it makes a difference. Instead of a push for a national reciprocity, we should have a nationwide push for constitutional carry. Movements in states where there is still a permit system, a major movement.
In regards to adhering to the Princess's demand that we re-certify, how about a vast majority of permit holders do not. Then let's see what the gestapo will do, it will be a major PR disaster for the Princess. Draft cards were burnt, we need to take several pages from the anti war demonstrations.
