Whether it gets held up or struck down in court isnt going to be an immediate help. This crap is being rammed through balls to the wall and even if it's (ya right of course it is) found unconstitutional in the courts it might not be for years. The state will drag it out to the bitter end as long as possible and what does everyone do in the mean time. Just carry on and hopefully you don't actually need to use the gun you shouldn't have or move.

I didn't say that. I'm all in favor of preserving our rights and I hope to heck it gets struck down as it absolutely should if it's as reported to be.
But wanting it challenged in the courts and not wanting it in the first place aren't mutually exclusive. It's not an either/or.
I don't want it at all. And if it goes through I want it ruled against. None of that changes. It still remains what the hell do we do in the interim?
Honestly good let them push the issue now instead of next election cycle. Get it into the courts sooner than later, shut them down...

The constant training requirement that is believed to be in the bill is less than what LEOSA or security guard license requires. We have to requal once a year instead of once every two years

I would assume this is Going to be required of every single permit holder even if you don’t conceal carry at all , to keep your permit you’re going to have to take the training course.

The LEOSA training is not 15 hours every year. Between the classroom and range time it is 2 1/2 hours and $50. Going to be a lot longer and more expensive for us

Being that every county does things different anything is possible. One has to wonder however how they know the status of the reference. Are they running BGCs on the references? Are we talking about convicted felons or arrested for a felony? What if the felon has a certificate or relief?
Its my understanding that in my county they are just looking for a valid mailing address and someone to fill out the 30 second questionnaire. Some clerk glances over the checked boxes when they come back and throws everything in the "good"pile. Many years ago when I did mine I used my girlfriend her sister and her parents that all lived in the same house. I happened to be there when the mailman came so I saved them the stamps and hand delivered all to the permit office.

There are plenty, usually because they are too old, uncommon or too ridiculous for a commercially made pistol. 8mm mauser, 50bmg. 416 Barret, 6.5 Carcano, 303 British, 7.62x54r, etc, etc. I am sure many if not all of those have been chambered in a pistol at one time or another by adventuresome folk, but not commercially to my knowledge.

If all this is true than yes it’s far worse than before. I suppose I understand the idea that somewhere in the future we will win. But in the mean time our rights have been utterly eviscerated. Here's the problem.
You carry your legal gun into a store (that does not have a "guns ok here" sign) as you've done 100 times before. Minding your own business like everyone else. While you're there someone starts shooting and you have to defend yourself ( since you shouldn't have legally had your gun on you now for defending yourself you can be made an example out of, go to prison become a felon and lose all your guns.
In 2-5 years sure it can be deemed unconstitutional and get struck down but tough shit for you, you're still going to be punished.

I’m talking about the permit requirements compared to the LEOSA/security guard requirements . We aren’t talking about “ natural rights” but the reality of what is going to be in the law and how the courts are going to interpret it even under the new SCOTUS ruling.
Would the training requirements be considered too much by the court to be unconstitutional? They will look at them. If they were more than the security guard l/LEOSA requirements then the court would probably say it’s unconstitutional. But it’s less. The courts might say the training requirement is okay.
