My opinion... Simpleton from WV. Cops ask if he had guns. He answers yes because he thinks it's not legal or nice to lie to cops. He prob thought they are like the cops in his state.... Sad case if I'm right.
The one that infringes on your right to keep and carry arms that is passed on a state level.

I disagree to all you have posted in your quote above.Only a judge can say if something is constitutional or not. Not you or me. I'm not in love with our gun laws by any stretch of the imagination, but I would think that if Cuomo's gun grab was unconstitutional, someone from the SCOTUS would have chimed in by now. Maybe his laws made sense for NYC? That place is a crowded mess and full of poverty and crime. The last thing that city probably needs is a huge influx of sidearms and AR15's. That's gotta be what he was going for.
I disagree to all you have posted in your quote above.
Houston, Austin, Atlanta, ect are all crowded cities. Crowds do not dictate right infringements.
Do you agree with the circuit judge's decision on the safe act?
Men in robes are just as corrupt as politicians themselves.

I also love how New Yorker's have this superiority complex when it comes to comparing themselves to people from other states. For example, "Simpleton from WV" and "goobers". It's especially ironic in that the left in this state consider gun owners here as "Simpleton's", "Woodchucks", and yes "Goobers".
I've traveled to many states across this nation and can understand why they dislike New Yorkers.

In what possible way can the NYC gun laws be reconciled with the 2A ?Only a judge can say if something is constitutional or not. Not you or me. Especially the part about an influx of guns being the last thing they need. Law abiding gun owners are not the problem, guns are not the problem. The problem is a culture of crime, and no personal responsibility.
And to say that scumos unsafe act must be good or the (politicized) scotus world have chimed in is very naive. You have to open your eyes to how corrupt the courts are now. Also, the scotus only grants cert for so many cases a year and there is a long process to get there.
So, are you a card carrying member of Mensa? SJW for WV, huh that's a good one!I have lived in many states across this nation. This was a simpleton from WV. There are simpletons all over the country. Sorry if you don't like calling it like it is. He was in violation of many traffic laws and carrying two illegal guns. That's about as stupid as it gets. If he gave consent to search he's even more of a simpleton. If he was doing this to fight the laws that would be another story. Since he didn't make bail I'm going to guess this was not intentional. I don't agree with the laws here at all. That being said he is most likely not a card carrying member of Mensa. I do woodchuck and redneck shit all the time. City people and country can both be simpletons.
sim·ple·ton

- a foolish or gullible person.
Tell me he was not foolish or gullible. Thanks for being a SJW for people from WV though.
In what possible way can the NYC gun laws be reconciled with the 2A ?
Only a judge has the power to get a law removed from the books by declaring it unconstitutional, but anyone with a brain can see that some plainly are.
SCOTUS upheld the roundup of Japanese Americans during WWII, does that mean it was OK ?
Nearly every mass atrocity in history was perpetrated by a government against its own people, Want to bet how many of them were approved by judges ?
Holy shit man!1) There are circuit courts etc. A bunch of judges weighed in long before SCOTUS agreed to look at it and offer an opinion.
2) I am not saying I agree nor disagree with Cuomo's decision as it pertains to NYC. But I will say there is a ton recidivism in places like Bronx. Not sure that place needs more AR's, Uzi's, MAC's, etc.
3) You are correct about one thing and I chime that tune all the time. The culture of crime in America right now is really bad. And where I disagree with people on this forum is that I feel there is value in the statistics that FBI, DoJ, Dept of Prisons, and CIA collect on crime vs race. I feel there are sub-cultures in America that are race driven (a black culture, a mexican immigrant culture, a Jewish/Semitic culture, a Russian culture, and so on), and that some of these sub cultures are extremely criminal and recidivist. I do not believe you can attribute crime to poverty irrespective of race' because Appalachia is dirt poor but not as criminal as Detroit, for example.
Holy shit man!
You aren't saying you disagree or agree with the Unsafe Act?
You are saying that law abiding citizens in the city DON'T NEED Uzi's, Mac 10's ect. So I guess the criminals no longer get them because they are banned.
Who are you and how old are you anyway?
It's guys like you that put on black robes and trample on the Constitution with your DON'T NEED attitude.
We have a new Juanjo gentleman. A racist one at that!
How is banning AR15's from law abiding citizens in NYC solving a crime problem? You are slow on the uptake, aren't you? I get that vibe from you.
Inner cities have major violent crime issues. If Cuomo felt SAFE Act was aimed at minimizing that; then that makes sense. I highly doubt he gave a fuck if someone in Upstate NY living on a farm had an AR. He was attempting to solve a crime problem.
And with regard to the details of the SAFE Act; I absolutely support some of it. Mental health professionals should report certain information to the State in an effort to limit unstable people from buying guns. There are entire classifications of lunatics in DSM-V that should not be anywhere near a weapon. If a database flagged that Adam Lanza was in a home full of firearms but was mentally ill and refusing to communicate with his custodian and psychiatrist; a few dozen children would still be here. Having to report stolen guns and ammo should be mandatory - not reporting that someone swiped your 10 hunting rifles should be illegal. Sellers having to do a background check is also reasonable. Background checks have flagged lots of felons trying to buy weapons. You could be selling to a criminal that told you he wasn't so it makes sense that private sales go through a dealer that can do a check for $20. You should be required to keep your firearms locked in a safe if you live with an ex felon. That part seems legit too. Tougher penalties for gang violence - also a good thing. The only thing in SAFE Act I think is stupid is broadening the definition of assault weapon and the capacity bans. Those two parts are retarded and clearly were to placate the left wing anti-gun folks that thing black weapons are bad.
How is banning AR15's from law abiding citizens in NYC solving a crime problem?
Answer that question.
I am against background checks as most are here. If you are a criminal and a danger to society, you shouldn't be a member of society should you?I'm not Cuomo. I don't have his statistics. But I suspect he felt that high crime areas should have more restricted access to firearms of certain types that were used in downstream crime. He probably found that in inner cities with extremely high incidence of breaking and entering / robbery that not having evil black weapons in those homes would reduce future crimes using that type of stolen weapons. But if you ignorantly just say "SAFE Act is bad m'kay" you are generally against background checks, against mental hospitals reporting to the folks that do background checks, against homes being required to have a gun safe if someone living there is a convicted felon, etc. You against that part of the SAFE Act? When gangs commit crimes with weapons, do you think those weapons were stolen weapons or weapons purchased legally?
I am certainly a much bigger weapons owner than you will ever be (unless you magically hit lotto). While you are pondering how to save up $20 a week for a year to buy a cheap bolt gun; I have anywhere from 75 to 150 such weapons in my collection and can basically afford to buy weapons at will. Don't try to make me out as some anti 2A Clintonista. I have given away more weapons for free just out of boredom than you could ever hope to purchase in your lifetime and owned Class III stuff you will only get to see on war movies on your TV set.

Just because you own a certain amount of weapons, that doesn't mean you are pro gun.
If you are for restricting gun rights for certain people based on geography and other factors, you are antigun no matter how you slice it.
Sorry pal. Your money that you are able to spend means nothing to me. Only a fool brags about that.
So, are you a card carrying member of Mensa? SJW for WV, huh that's a good one!
Let's assume here for a moment that he legally bought the hand guns in WV. In WV, it is legal for him to purchase said hand gun's without even getting a permit, and in fact earlier this year became a constitutional state. Let's also assume that he (unlike you) hasn't lived in many states across this nation, and therefore doesn't have the wise, worldly knowledge that you do. Is he supposed to automatically know that NY State has idiotic, draconian gun laws that should not pass any sort of constitutional muster?
Look, I'm not saying he is the sharpest tool in the shed. All I was pointing out was the irony of NY gun owners calling people the same shit names as the liberals call us. As someone who is smarter (in terms of intelligence tests) than most of them, it pisses me off. I will stop being a SJW now, and go back to my gun nut right wing wood chuck gun hoarding ways.
So a law abiding citizen in a black neighborhood shouldn't have certain guns because they could be stolen. Am I getting the jist of your argument?

Funny. Those same criminals were around in the 80's before NICS checks.I think that's the jist of Cuomo's efforts in the high crime areas. You do know I didn't write the SAFE Act, right?
But you are against background checks; meaning you don't give crap who buys weapons. That's about as anti 2A as it gets; because when criminals don't need to buy stolen weapons on the black market anymore it's going to be a civil war and that could end the US Constitution and USA as we know it. There are a LOT of violent criminals and gangs outside of prisons in USA. Imagine each and every one with a Class III belt fed. That would be a true zombie apocalypse.
