Would be nice to see more shooters try their hand at these challenges. Guess we have more link posters than shooters on the board.
I'm gonna post the match link in every new gun post from now on.Would be nice to see more shooters try their hand at these challenges. Guess we have more link posters than shooters on the board.
What are you shooting?I managed to get 10 rounds at the 100yrd rifle but it was horrid. Everyone says the 168gr Gold Medal Match shoots in just about everything, but I have yet to get 1 MOA from it in my gun.
I had an M14 type gun that would not shoot GMM better than 6MOA I sent the scope back to the factory, the rifle shoots 1 1/2 MOA without the scope. I sent the rifle off to have it rebarreled to 6.5 creedmoor. It is a stock Savage 10 in 308 with a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9.
I've gotten good groups out of it with 165 Accubonds from SSA while it was wearing a VX-1 2-7. Unfortunately that load went away when Nosler bought 'em and I'm down to 5 rounds. I know I've tried the Federal GMM stuff in this gun before and not been terribly impressed.
Might have been too much heat in that barrel (I was rushing to beat sunset). Might have been the Magnetospeed hanging off the end. Might have been the scope that was returned for repair and hasn't had a good test since. Might have been me.

Yeah they are building them in 6XC too. Jon Wolfe of Wolfe Firearms is doing mine.M14 in 6.5 Creedmoor? Sounds a bit sacrilegious to me.
I missed this. I used to shoot expert Mr Smartypants.
In my case that means 40 out of 40 hits on the pop ups from 50 to 300 meters in 50 meter increments, alternating from left to right, thank you very much. Thats with irons obviously.Beah ha ha! I was wondering what took so long.
Expert? Army? Doesnt that mean hitting the target?
