I have three of them, they are set up for bench shooting two chambered in 224 Valkyrie, one wears a HB 20” 223 barrel. The traditional stock set up makes them perfect for shooting off a rest. Their versatility to accept AR uppers and mags will keep them around for a while. People have been asking the company to build a 308 version, which I would buy in a heartbeat.

There is a place local to me selling ar maglocks and I believe complete guns with them installed,I will be installing one with a king pin on a new build in a few days when it arrives.AR Maglock here.
Yes I agree, there is more to the SCR than mere compliance. This is why I just don't understand that given the option and having the funds a NYer would choose a fixed mag AR over an SCR.
Well, what is available these days. The basic ones were what- $900, $1,000? I think that is a good price for a quality AR.
Just the bolt carrier, you don’t get the bolt, firing pin or bolt retaining pin. The bolt carrier and tail is 200 bucks by it self. I have two extras so I can build spare uppers for the ones I have.
Yeah the first one (complete rifle) I got for 651 because it wasn’t moving. It had the horrible trigger in it. I took it home boxed it up and sent it to Ares and they put in the modified trigger and sent it back . Then I sold off the upper for 400 bucks and built my own.
Still not a bad deal for a 50 state legal gun.
I've had no issues with the compmag, just be sure not to overtighten the maglock and it's good to go. Loading is ok, tilt it on a sidways angle, and fill it up. Not quite as fast as filling a normal mag. Unloading is quick and effortless.
Only case I know of happened no too far from me. 2 kids trespassing at rock quarry. Shot hit a neighbor building. Charged guy with reckless endangerment, confiscated gun which had an armr2. This was not long after safe act. Shooter from the other forums was keeping us informed on case, then heard nothing. I believe they probably confiscated, and dropped charges as a plea because that's the last I heard.And... Ok I'll poke the 500lb gorilla in the room

Because honestly, absent a warrant, it would never stand scrutiny! This was the same argument that took place with the <10 round limit via safe act! It's unenforceable in itself.
Mere possession of a firearm is not cause for suspicion or probable cause. Of course any day excuse could be used or made up to justify an encroachment upon someone's right. The problem is thinking at every corner is the big had Boogeyman that's gonna lock you up because 2A!!! This is the NY programming you've been subject to and permeated into many a brain. It's unfortunate!
