Finally.....!! Called today. They had it. Went in and picked it up. Basically, without going into too much detail, I happened to turn mine in at just the right time to get caught up in politics, power struggles, and the move.

I hand delivered it on 2/5. It got sent to Judge Krahulik on 2/9. Not really sure why it went to her, but.... She kicked it back to the clerk's office and it finally made it's way to Judge Freehill who signed it on the 27th.

It came back to the clerk's office in time to get caught up in the move.

Word I got today is that only the three criminal court judges are signing. Family court judges are no longer involved. So it's Freehill, Brown, and DeProspo(?).

I heard the same thing with the 3 Judges signing now. Hope it speeds things up a bit I’m at 3 weeks now and waiting.

They are still getting reorganized from the move. A couple more weeks and hopefully everything will be running as smoothly as it ever was. Now I have to get out to Pleasant Valley this weekend.

the pistol dept should be in Goshen by now, 3/17/18. I tried calling on Friday but no one answered.
check the website and see if they have anything posted before you go.

I dropped by on Friday to see if my amendment was back since it’s been over 3 weeks and was told it’s was sent to Judge Brown on the Feb. 23 and it’s not been signed yet. Was told Freehill signs amendments weekly but Brown waits 3-5 weeks before he’ll sign.

If you tried Friday afternoon, government center was closed because of a sprinkler break.

But yes, pistol permits are back at government center.

That list is outdated. As per the clerk I spoke to on Friday, only the three criminal court judges are signing now. Family court judges are out of the process. She didn't say what areas each of them covers or if they have any particular one at all. I did not ask.

I am currently into 3 weeks on a mailed amendment. my last 3 or 4 amendments were signed by Judge Brown within 2 or 3 days of mailing. Every one of those still took 4 weeks. I certainly can not blame the judge at this point.

I put a note on the website page and I have called to see when they were going to start the change. I found about about it on the day after Ken Jones had his meeting with the Judges. I called Pistol License Department several days latter and they said that they did not know anything about it. I then called one of the Judge's office and talked to someone who said they could not tell me anything but that the Pistol License Dept. DID know about it and everything about it. KJ said that it was up to the Administrative Judge to decide how the pistol applications and amendments will be divvied up.

I made a mistake when I was setting up the page for the changes and before I knew when they would take place. I went over the whole page tonight and updated several items including where the Pistol License Dept. is located, who the Judges are and how long your safety class is good for, (it is now only good for a year vs what it has always been, up to 10 years. The Sheriff's Dept. needs to fill their class seats.)

Now it sits in a file cabinet for 2 weeks with a self addressed stamped envelope paper clipped to it.
If I didn't go there today 3/19 and ask for it, how much longer would it take?

It seems like nobody up there gives a crap about getting stuff done. If yours or mine falls through the crack, there are no repercussions for the staff.

Dropped a new amendment off today, at the new location in the government building in goshen..

lets see how long this takes with the move and everything happening

My last one was under 4 weeks but I went in person to pick it up while dropping off another. I’ll go again in 2 weeks to see if this one is there in person to speed things up.

I stopped by a few weeks back after hand delivering an amendment on 2/12 to the old bldg. I wasn't adding a pistol, just doing a minor change. The girl there told me that things were a bit delayed due to the move, but don't worry, we mailed it on the 22nd of March. Wow, that was pretty good as it was only the 18th! when I asked about that, she said oh it must be a typo, and they meant it was mailed on the 12th. Well, I live in the same town, and I didn't get it until the 28th!
Just tell the truth.........we have enough bullshit every day.

I was hoping to go see if it was sitting in a pile waiting to be mailed but I never end up with time during hours to get over there.
