I registered there but once I started reading about points for this offense and points for that offense I lost interest.

The breadth of our states is kicking our ass it seems. There are a lot of folks that posted here that I'd love to go shooting with but unfortunately my range is too far for everyone.

Sorry it's taken me so long to chime in. 122.5 hours of work in the last 11 days. Ugh.
Closest range to me is Whitetail Preserve. Whitetail Preserve Shooting Range - Bloomsburg, PA! I've never used the rifle range, so I couldn't tell you anything about it. Trap/skeet is set up nicely; 3 or 4 person covered handgun range is basic and simple, but adequate. Don't know much more than that.
I can travel a couple hours, but if I'm coming from NJ instead of our place in PA that will limit me a bit. Altoona is probably as far as I could get in that case. Timing-wise, July 23 - August 1st is when I'll be in PA
We're about an hour due west of Scranton/Wilkesbarre. Yes, lots of wooded land and hunting potential. Most of this part of the state is very rural, which I love. A family we know has been having trouble finding decent healthcare for their kid who has a chronic illness. Something we never really considered, but that may make life a pain when we're old (older than we already are, anyway) and possibly need doctors more.

It's not anywhere yet. I only threw Altoona out there because that's where my range is at.

On that note, as long as I can line my week off properly I can travel to anywhere in the state.
After bouncing around gravel roads in an 18 wheeler for 2 weeks, road tripping in my nice, comfy Maxima ain't no thing at all.
FWIW I'd be happy to put my collection at anyone's disposal for the day.
If it's eastern/central PA and the dates times lone up, I could be convinced to come down.
Imma shootin' in Altoona all day next week. Whenever the weather is nicest.

I'm throwing hubby under the bus now. I'd love to host, but he says no. Shame. I have a dueling tree that doesn't see anywhere near enough use. Same with the clay thrower.
OTOH, you can't shoot more than 50 yards out due to the trees, so that's less than perfect. It's what I blame my lack of sniper skills on.
Pretty much same for me. If I am on my week off.
The standard schedule is 2 weeks on 1 off but that is........ maliable. For example next job won't start up for around two weeks. And there maybe times I need or wish to stay out longer.
Like if we are pulling down $5,000 weeks. I sure as shit ain't skipping out on that! Oh the guns I could buy, the ammo, the optics!

I don't mind driving a couple hours. I live in Corning. For example, Lock Haven is about 2 hours. Little pine tree state park is less than 2 hours.

What about something like that? Weather wouldn't matter and maybe we could get a group rate? Willamsport is pretty centrally located for PA and NY folks, pretty much right in the middle.
