I'm sitting here dry firing the thing and I have to say that the trigger is just fine. Its nowhere near as crisp as the PPQ but there is no grit i the pul, I like that and after the reset there is no take up and I like that too. There is the characteristic mushy creep up till the break but the break itself is clean. Did Glock really improve the Gen 5 trigger a lot? Or is the hate for Glock triggers overblown in the first place? Since this is intended to be my primary carry gun I doubt I will be messing with the trigger. It will be interesting to compare its shooting qualities with the PPQ back to back.
I haven't held a gen 5 to fiddle the trigger but I'm pretty sure it will feel the same as a 4 or 3, if anything close enough if hickock can't tell the difference then those who say it's such an improvement are fanboys. That said I am interested if they got rid of the bump on the gen 4 trigger bar.
Are ther stock triggers unacceptable and must be replaced? No not at all, I honestly would even say the glock trigger is better than the m&p 2.0 overall.
If you don't want to drive down the rabbit hole that is glock triggers (though I LOVE my agency trigger, but really want and recommend as mentioned before the overwatch, either dat, tac, or even falx. But there is a myriad of triggers out) add a factory minus (-) connector
