So I bought a Glock 19 holster, y'know what that means.
damn factory night sights.... they are actually not "horrible" compared to the stock ones, not sure why they are not more prevalent, i wouldnt be surprised if someone snags them up off you real quick
i wish i could but my i dont want to say tiny hands just cant get my hand to fit around even the smallest one which sucks
***edit*** oh and well neither of my glocks can take the backstraps cause of the whole chippity choppy but prior to doing that

YES! Even if I were inclined to carry the 33 rounder. Which I won't, its very uncomfortable.
It does print a little when I bend over, but I can live with that. I have the Shield if I need something lo-pro.

The holster and carrier:
Blackpoint Tactical Mini Wing and the carrier is from some company called Fox Holsters that I found on Amazon. Both work fine.
This setup is not anywhere near as comfortable as the Shield in the Mini Tuck Crossbreed but oh well. Unlike with the Shield I had to plus size my pants up one size.

My initial impressions? Meh, its a Glock. It conceals so I'm happy with it.
I appreciate the melt job Glock did on the Gen 5s, nice. It doesn't really excite me but as long as I shoot it well it will serve me well.
The PPQ does have a tighter barrel to slide lock up. We will see how it does on the range.
I can see that if I stick with the Glock I will definitely be wanting to have the trigger guard undercut. I'm already getting a hotspot from just fondling it.
I gave it a quick wipe and lube.

I have never liked the double stack sub compacts. For a double stack grip I need a full 3 fingers on it, which I just barely get on the G19. Which is good, really min maxing on the size here.Shoulda got a 26.
Also not for nothin' but 15 rounds>10 rounds.

I like them too. I got a night sight for the front and a metal regular sight for the rear. I like just dropping the ball in the bucket. It's pretty fast for me compared to 3 dot sights.
The thing with 3 dots and "buckets" with me is, in daylight you are supposed to be focusing on the front sight and aligning the top edge of the front with the rear. All that extra visual stuff distracts me from that.

I've had 2 dots before. Well a dot with a vertical post. The XS Big Dot. I find the bucket just as fast. The ball just drops in there. I only focus on the front.
The under cut is easy to do with a sanding drum on a dremmel. A buddy has done to to several of his Glocks. It nice but for me it allows my finger to rub on the sharp corner of the mag release. Not a big deal to round the edge tho.

@Podmonkey, The Glock Store Survival Kit should have an extractor along with all the other springs.
The Glock night sights (Meprolight) are only good in certain lighting conditions.
At dusk you will only see silhouettes and they are not too well defined.
In daylight your better off with a colored circle around the front tritium tube.
This makes it easier to pick up the front sight which results in faster target acquisition.

I would get a few extra parts to throw in the pouch.
I'm sitting here dry firing the thing and I have to say that the trigger is just fine. Its nowhere near as crisp as the PPQ but there is no grit i the pul, I like that and after the reset there is no take up and I like that too. There is the characteristic mushy creep up till the break but the break itself is clean. Did Glock really improve the Gen 5 trigger a lot? Or is the hate for Glock triggers overblown in the first place? Since this is intended to be my primary carry gun I doubt I will be messing with the trigger. It will be interesting to compare its shooting qualities with the PPQ back to back.

I have recently picked up my Glock Gen5 and have not yet been able to put it through it's paces.
For now I would say somewhat improved.

Hickcock 45 and Gabe Suarez said that the triggers feel no different than gen 4's. I think it's just Glock hate. Granted, they aren't match triggers but they are good enough to serve the purpose for a carry gun.
I'm no expert like those 2 guys above but I never felt like the trigger sucked.

I can't recommend these enough. Keeps all the safeties intact and great improves the trigger pull. I also like adding a minus connector but nothing too light.
