Travelling this week. Stopped at the Bass Pro Shop. Not a single box of ammo to be found. No mags that I can't get delivered cheaper. Only a few items for reloading some odd calibers. As close as I could find was some stuff for black powder. But I wasn't going to pay $50 for 10oz of black horn 209

I am traveling in the morning. I will be going to a few stores while gone. One of the stores I will be going to, claim that they have a decent selection of ammo as well as guns. I may be buying a new AR on Thursday.
Quickly threw the Cloud onto the Bobro to get a feel for it and see how it is. Though it doesn’t mount the light further forward like my Arisaka in-line Mlok mount does, the Bobro definitely tucks the light closer to the rail. Now if nobody has the need/want to be able to adjust the cant of their light you can always go with a mount like the Arisaka offset mounts, those are great options as well. This mount is specifically chosen for my AK but that’s what I threw it on for the time being. Eventually I’ll enjoy the ability of the adjustable angle when I am able to get my light to tuck in as tight to a MAWL as possible.
Here’s a few before pics of the REIN Micro mounted using an Arisaka In-Line Mlok mount.
Here’s a few of it now using the Bobro. Another benefit that ended up working out is even better cable management while using the Bobro mount. I was able to rotate the tailcap an additional turn and really get that cable tucked in nice and completely out of the way.

Ok, before the hate rolls in, let me explain myself.
I have a 24 gun Liberty safe in my basement for "deep" storage.....but I wanted a way to keep a few guns for quick access upstairs.
I looked around at small safes but landed on a cabinet.....yes, a cabinet.
Ive seen the Stack On cabinets and the like but then I saw this one online for $130 and it came with a 50 cal ammo box.....big deal.
This has thicker steel than many cabinets, locks in 3 places, has a drill "resistant" lock and a "pick proof" lock.
It will work for my need......

Finally spent a few doll hairs to start making my shy freedom rifles able to be more extroverted, and so the missus (caught the shooting bug a few months ago) can start to experience something other than .22 recoil. Happy to give my money to local guys (or for anything made in the US, for that matter). They're decently priced, and you get a few bucks off the 2nd if you buy in pairs. Notice one BF-10™ loader is already out of its plastic. The UPS guy hadn't even pulled away before I was emptying the package and starting to molest my lower. Installed one Safemod™ and checked for form, fit, and function with the loader. First thoughts are it's clunky, but it beats NY Ugly. YMMV
I don't think I am familiar with these. Do a thread on your BF-10s. I and others, I'm sure, would like to see how they work and function.

I have one and it's not bad but not the same as dropping the mag (why I bought an other). Couldn't see using it for more than 10rds but that's what were stuck with so you make do.
"Local" as in New York. Allstar Tactical is in Rochester, about 2.5 hours away from me. Unless you're referring to "Southern Tier" under my avatar.

Unprotected 18650 cells don't seem to work. Maybe protected cells would, I'll just get some of the streamlight USB ones.
Dangggg, all mine are protected but I tested the different brands and they worked.
I ordered 4 of the Streamlight USB ones. I like having spares in case of an extended foray into PA's forgotton industrial ruins. Plus I can keep a pack of 123s for emergency backup. I do wish they'd have widened the grip a bit to accept 21700s, that would double the runtime without increasing the size much.
Yeah, they could have. I think they didn’t because most people have switched to 18650 batteries. All good quality lights that run on rechargeable batteries either use 18650/18350. So if you happen to be running another 18650 light and need to switch the battery, you could always pull one from your HL-5X if it ever got to that point.
More cool stuff has come in. Daniel Defense DDM4 12” in FDE. The Dead Air micro brake for the Aero EPC build, Dead Air Booster and Booster Assembly for a Gen 5 Glock 19. Eventually the Dead Air Wolfman will be getting ordered.

Nah, it’s too long for a Mk18 clone build. This rail is 12”. Customer was looking for this 12” rail...so I did some work and was able to get my hands on one.
I got this in the mail today. Birthday gift from my Dad. The blackout on the handle in the pic is because he had my name engraved on it. Pretty nice.

Walking my dogs down the road I found this 8 foot 2x8 on the side of the road. Good quality board in perfect condition. Somebodys gonna be pissed.And dang it was heavy to carry 1/2 mile!!!

This guy is gonna be pissed, thats a $30 piece of lumber that fell off his truck.
Its not Amish either which is weird, its fancy pressure treated store bought wood!!
Its in perfect shape except a few scratches where it skidded across the road.
Dang thing ways 50 pounds or more.
I carried it while walking 2 dogs on retractable leashes for over 1/2 mile......not very fun.
I looked around for more wood......no luck.
