For Erie county I just drive to clerks office, wait the 5-10 minutes for them to add it to the permit and drive back to pickup. I do t even have to go downtown Buffalo anymore as the DMV office in Elma NY is open for additions now. I didn’t realize that there was still clerks offices in NY that we’re still operating under covid restrictions

You guys shouldn't have to do any of that. You should be able to just buy the handgun and walk out of store with it. I sincerely hope NY's bullshit permit scheme gets struck.

I agree. From what I’m gathering erie county is one of the better counties in regards to permits

Livingston too .. get a purchase coupon from the PP clerk .. good for so many days ..
my dad would have like 2 or 3 in wallet at any givin time ..
go to FFL or gun show .. buy and take home .. then you have like 10 days to go back to

Take the bill of sale to the pp clerk, do amendment paper work and pay the fee and wait for the judge's approval. Once the judge approved the amendment, the pp clerk would call. I'd have to go to the pp clerk to pick up my new updated permit and purchase coupon to bring to the gun store. Then do my nics and finally take my pistol home. Fucking dumb.

my Friend lives in Steuben county .. he has to go buy .. leave gun there .. drive to PP office with receipt .. add it .. drive back to get gun ..

no judge needed to have it added .. like Livingston with out the extra driving trips ..

Here in Utah, you buy the pistol and take it home like you would a long gun. You do a nics if you don't have the ccw. If you have your ccw, you still fill out the 4473, but they go by the state verification of your ccw. They don't run a nics. Either way, you leave the gun store with your pistol. I really cannot wait for the supreme court to shut NY's permit scheme down. We now have 25 states with constitutional carry. I see that trend continuing. The Sullivan Act's days are numbered.

Chautauqua county was like that.
FWIW Florida is different. If you have a CWP show it and do the 4473. If you pass, take it home. No permit? A three day wait is in order. Put money down and wait three business days, no holidays, no weekends. Come back, do the 4473, pass it and take it home. This is for handguns. Long guns are 4473 and buy it.

We were never able to do that. Drop it off or mail it in .... and wait. Nothing done on the spot.

Orange County normal is 3 to 6 weeks. For your permission slip. To take possession of your property. On a permit that took you a year to get.

They'll stab you in the back while putting their arm around you telling you how much they support your "rights"
