I thought I had extra rings laying around for my Ruger Ranch, but didn't so on impulse I did the rookie move and picked up a cheap mount locally only to have a near pain in the ass problem of one of the ring screws getting stuck and stripped out. Fuck that noise. I managed to remove the screw and have now bit the bullet and purchased one of these mounts: Ultralight 30mm Scope Mount, Extended - Anodized Black It should be here Saturday. I hope to have this rifle to the range next weekend.

I canceled my order. I tried to order a lower too, and that got canceled by Palmetto. They won't ship a complete lower to New York. They would however sell me a lower and a parts kit for an extra $50, plus separate shipping for each - probably about $75 worth of FUAC tax. I told the lady on the phone to keep it.

Last Friday I bought a 9oz. Jug of Hogdon Trail Boss to load up some low recoil 357 loads for my grandson to shoot. I just loaded fifty up tonight. We will be going shooting this Saturday morning.

I need to buy some cheap 125 or 150 grain 38/357 projectiles here shortly.

Went ahead an bought two Alien Gear holsters. They are apparently running a 2 holster combo and you get to save a little. I got two Cloak Tuck 3.5's. One for my G23 and the other for my Kahr MK9, which I don't have a left handed IWB holster for. Alien Gear Holster's 2-Holster Combo

I got mine awhile ago and it was pretty much the same. I got some stickers, a box of 357 mag and a vacuum sealed pouch of the same defensive 9mm you got. All of this came in a box that was deceivingly large for it's contents. I was disappointed for sure.

I bought my grandson three ninty/nine cent zombie targets for a couple of trips up in the cascade.mountains, 1st one will be used this coming monday. Then I bought a 500 pack of Rainer 158 grain hollow points to load for myself and my grandson.
He shot up a hundred & fifty 38 spl and another 50 low end 357 magnum this mornig.

Oh and I unintentionally ended up with some Pocket Sand (sold by Bigtexoutdoors.com) they tossed it in for free which was super cool

Anderson Lower that Primary arms was practically giving away. less than 40 bucks after shipping. Bought a lower parts kit at my FFL and had to pay 0 transfer fee.

I have zero experience with Ar's. I have never even held one before. So I am looking forward to this project.
