Don’t care about that one bit. I’ve never been to a track once in my life.
I’m looking to clean up the shifting points in the truck, have a better towing feel and torque and shut off the 4 cylinder shutdown. I’m also hoping and looking to get better MPG all around and better MPG towing.

Just busting your balls old timer.
A couple years ago the GMC Sierra 1500 Z71 (with NHT tow package) developed a lifter noise that drove me nuts.
I took it to the mechanic we use for the stuff I'm too old tired and lazy to do anymore. He's well versed in GM LS engines.
Told him I wanted a new cam and lifters, GOOD ones, I said, emphasis on torque cuz it's a pickup I use for towing. He said no problem. Kept it on the DL from the wife
We went to pick it up. She about pissed her self with the $4k bill.
Me I got no complaints. He sez 350 horse and 400 foot pounds. I believe him. Things got ground pounding torque. Tore thru those KY mountains uphill like a champ, and over 19 mpg to boot.

This is the only thing I have on hand that is close to what I am making. As you can see, it is about 7-1/4 pounds. It is the modern equivalent to a 16 Ga. smoothbore, the barrel I am using is 24 Ga, .58 diameter smooth bore which is significantly smaller all around, it will require less of a buttplate thereby requiring less wood all around on the stock, these factors alone will put the finished gun well under seven pounds.
I don't know why you would question my veracity in this, as I have nothing to gain, and even if I did somehow have something to gain, That in not the way I operate, never has been.

I pretty much am all set in the 20 gauge ammo department now, except I WOULD like a case of Fiocchi Golden Pheasant or Winchester Super Pheasant 3" mags loaded with #5 shot.
If it's not in the cards, I'll go with the tried-and-true old school method for pheasants using a 20 gauge, with a high brass #6 in the chamber backed up by one or two 3" mag #4's in the magazine.

I did have that on my agenda at one time but decided to make a double barrel rifle and an English sporting rifle instead. There is only so much time and those pistolas require every bit as much time and attention as a long gun.

For about 20 years in FDNY I carried an 8 "D" cell indestructible Streamlight dive light taped to a seatbelt. The belt also had a sheath for a pair of side cutters. I had a small 3 "C" Streamlight tied with a lanyard into my coat pocket in case I got caught in a collapse and had nothing else. I never had to worry about anyone borrowing my big light. I could have used it as a boat anchor. (I still have it. It still works)

Went to my first Arizona Gun show on Saturday. The locals were complaining that it was tiny and the selection was terrible. Compared to NY it was magnificent .
Could have bought a lot of stuff that I couldn't have in NY, but I just ended up getting a bond arms derringer (the .410/45LC version) that I could have had in NY.
Still, didn't need anything to deal with snakes efficiently in NY (the 0 legged kind anyway). Still not sure if I'll carry this anywhere or not, but the price was right.
The wife really thinks about the "running into a rattle snake on a walk with the dogs" thing. I personally don't worry about it too much, but I think this might make her happy, and hey, it's a new gun
