I was under the impression the states had to respond by tonight Google. Was I mistaken or is that what you meant that the states response's are briefs they need to file.

I try to keep it simple for my patients lol. They aren't impressed by the fancy lingo.
This times 1,000. I have been thinking very long and hard about the trajectory of this nation. In all of the possible outcomes I have yet to come up with a positive one. The ground beneath our feet is shifting quietly but very quickly. There is going to be a breaking point like lexington/concord or (probably more accurately) fort sumter. Like tectonic plates that build up pressure over time there is going to be a sudden release. I am fearful for the future.
22 states have now joined Texas in efforts to sue Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, and Wisconsin.

All these legal maneuvers. At some point there has to be tangible, physical activity. What happens if the supreme court rules in favor of the suing states but the electoral college votes as scheduled and declares biden the winner? Alternatively what happens if the SC throws out the lawsuit despite obvious fraud and trump refuses to cede power? I have no idea what is going to happen. I will be shocked if there is no controversy.
