No I don’t. However, as stated above, concealed carry hasn’t yet been determined to be under the purview of the 2A, whereas freedom of speech has sufficient precedence based on court cases.

What about open carry then? States rights says you can't open carry in N.J. for instance? Is that the State's rights you are talking about, or is there some other aspect of the 2nd Amendment that you think states have the right to restrict?

My beliefs or anyone else’s here don’t mean crap when it comes to the interpretation of what is covered under the 2A with regard to what has thus far been determined to be constitutional or unconstitutional. My personal belief that I should still be able to mail order a Tommy Gun doesn’t mean a thing. It’s based on the courts decisions and until a strong case of states over reach is heard by the Supreme Court, we are in this position.

my political views see this as a legislative over reach. I don’t care which side of the aisle over reaches, I despise it equally.

again my free opinion, which is worth about the cost of it.

I believe that's how it's written. CCW would apply across the states, but you would still have to follow state's law's. 10 round mags in NY, no hollow points in NJ, no carry in prohibited places in some states, etc.

That's bullshit.

So you are driving cross country, and at potentially every state border, you have to change out what you are carrying? What do you do with the NOW illegal stuff? Put it in a lock box? You think N.J. or NYC wouldn't love to pull you over and search your vehicle anyway, and charge you for that illegal stuff in that lock box? They do it now!

It would work like your drivers license.

Driving in Montana the speed limit is drastically different than NY. But your license works in both states.

That’s what I’m saying! More gun owners would get arrested because they think their gun is 50 state legal due to carrying a gun on his 50 state permit but gets arrested due to his G19 not being CA COMPLIANT or having a threaded barrel.

I'm not holding my breath even if the Republicans own the House, Senate, Presidency, and SCOTUS.

That said, yes, people would get caught up not following local laws. It would still be an improvement. You are always responsible for knowing the law. I would love to be able to carry into NJ or NYC and if that meant carrying semi-wadcutters or wadcutters instead of hollow-points, that can just be the next battle to win.

Would need 60 votes in the Senate, which is acomplete impossibility. While I wouldn't consider him an enemy of the 2A like Biden, Newsome, FUAC, Harris... he's not a hard charging advocate for expanding it either. I don't necessarily blame him for not wasting his time trying to push for this. It is/was never gonna happen.
