All you guys saying "what about the audio," he is lucky to have the whole thing on video with a clear angle. Surveillance cameras almost never have any audio. Florida is a 2 party state. You can't even record a conversation from your side there without the other's consent. Even in New York, a one-party state, you still need to be a party to record. If you leave hidden microphones out then you open yourself up to criminal eavesdropping charges and the audio may be inadmissible anyway.
This doesn't look good, honestly. "Beef starts with the shove and ends with the shovel" is how gangsters operate. This guy was being a busybody, he got shoved yes while he was standing next to the car yelling at her, but I did not see any further move toward him after the shove. A shove isn't deadly force, especially when you've injected yourself into a situation that isn't your responsibility.
For him to respond by drawing, aiming, pausing for a beat while the shover immediately backs off, then shoot, is totally unjustifiable; I don't care what he said; the guy is dead and the shooter's account would be self-serving anyway. Yeah he says he was in fear for his life, but if you're carrying you should do better. I really question that the purpose of "stand your ground" is intended to stretch this far.
If I give some aggro Floridian a little baby shove when he's being a psychotic asshole, can he then do some soccer dive, whip out his gun and shoot me?
This isn't a Trayvon Martin, jumped and pounded against the curb situation. He got shoved and might be essentially getting away with murder.
