We have an EDC knife thread so it makes sense to start one for handguns. What is everyone's EDC handgun? Glock 43 here.

Ruger SR45 for me. Kind of heavy, but I have big mitts so it fits me perfect. And 10+1 rounds of 45 seemed like a better choice than my 8+1 S&W 1911SC or Kimber Target Stainless II.

No because as a southpaw, I use my left middle finger on both firearms. The releases are close enough to each other in proximity.

Being a southpaw seems to have several advantages when it comes to autoloaders especially the 1911. I find the only revolver built that is southpaw friendly is the Dan Wesson. Its cylinder release/latch in the front of the cylinder makes it very easy for the right hand to depress the cylinder release thumb the cylinder out of the frame and eject the spent cartridges with one motion.
