Be careful. I saw a photo of a 40 cal Shield and it had exploded. It was a mess. And it happens a lot - it's been all over the S&W forums the past few years. The articles always point to hot rounds though. One article pointed to Winchester white box in 180 gr. Google it.

Good to know, I carry a Shield in .40S&W, I will check it out. Normally run 165gr Speer Gold Dots in it.

When they said Winchester white box blew up some pistols I was shocked. I never thought of WWB as being a hot round. More like discount ammo where you can reuse the brass.

No, of course not. Its a south western bubba thing. Its traditional to wear fancy, ornate guns in equally fancy, ornate holsters to social functions down there. @zzrguy's gun and holster would be perfect for this.

I'm sorry Freddy but I don't see how someone with modest powers of observation wouldn't be racist? Anyone can clearly see that Blacks and Hispanics perform worse at school and account for more crime than White and Asians, even after adjusting for location, income, and education. Every Black-run city in America is failing, and there has never been a successful Black nation in all of history. When 2% of the American population is young Black males yet they account for over 50% of all violent crime... then you have to willfully ignore facts staring you right in the face. It's no different than believing in Unicorns except it's a lot more dangerous should you be caught in the crossfire.
So yes I am proudly and openly racist. This doesn't mean I don't believe in treating all people fairly and in day-to-day life I've met many exceptional people of all races and backgrounds. But it also doesn't mean I'm stupid enough to pretend that the majority of Blacks and Hispanics are equals when they clearly are dysfunctional morons... and that hanging around their BBQs as they play with their blinged out pistols is a foolhardy idea.
If I make a wisecrack or blanket observation about Blacks or Hispanics it's not without good reason and experience. And since it is usually negative, I believe it is up to the Blacks and Hispanics to behave better and be good citizens before I change my mind. Once they clean up their culture - and stop killing, raping, and robbing - then I'm happy to reevaluate.
And calling me a redneck and uneducated is bigotry in its own right. I'm of darker than average Southern European extract and college educated, and while I am sympathetic to rednecks and own some camo of my own, it's not like I fit in with them either. So you're making wrong assumptions based on your... prejudice.

I go back and forth between my Sig P238 and my Shield 9. I can conceal my Sig wearing gym shorts and a T-shirt
So right now my EDC is a Gen4 Glock 17 with Agency Arms trigger, chopped to take Glock 19 mags, inforce APL
This is only because my other EDC a CZ P-07 is currently sent out to have the slide milled for an RMR rm07 and new back up irons sights
The glock was my EDC, rotated out for the cz, went back to the glock, then back to the cz which then I decided the cz was going to get the rmr

EDC?? Good lord. Your either 8 feet tall 700 pounds, or in extreme pain the whole day with akward as hell prints..that thing is huuuge 
I would like to know more about the slide cutting you have going on. I just took the leap myself and am waiting for mine to return. I also would like to know what you think about that trigger. I'm just now starting down the rabbit hole of customizing glocks and am trying to get as many opinions as I can.

1. Disassemble. Make sure it's unloaded before pulling the trigger which is required for disassembly.
2. Ask yourself why in the world did I buy a Glock?
3. Hit every single piece with a sledgehammer.
4. Cut every single piece with a bandsaw.
5. Melt every single piece down in an incinerator.
6. Go buy a quality firearm you can be proud of.
So much Glock hate. So little time.

Keep us informed how you like it. Have you tried an optic equipped hand gun before or is this your first venture?
I have dabbled with a red do, I got a slide mount for a Burris ff3 to try on the CZ but no back up sights high over bore and just not reliable enough for EDC, but I used it to see if I would like the red dot and loved it,
