Boys, boys! We're all on the same team. I have NO idea what anyone is talking about.WTF are you blathering about ?
How come when I said basically the same thing back in 2013, then again in 2015, everyone said "stand and fight, we can win this fight."TL;DR - New York is done for, it's been toast for a long time at this point.
It will just get even worse from now on. The history of New York proves me correct.
Do you all see where this is going? You should, and I would expect you to.
Ho Lee Fuk! Nothing like voluntarily creating an illegal gun registry/database... Duh.
It's not going to end with the new NYSP/NICS background checks. Just like it didn't end with the NY Unsafe Act. And I'm pretty sure that all of you NYGF members know that. Next up, is the no transportation of ammo across state lines and no semi-autos too.
I respect 99% of the members here on this forum and we're going to each have our different tolerances for unconstitutional bullshit that we are willing to deal with. And I totally get that. But I have to say, that constantly playing by their rules will certainly be our doom. Look where it's gotten us thus far.
For fucks sake how could anyone not see this coming since 2013?
Why wouldn't every gun owner in New York not have an ammo fort by now?
I don't know what to say anymore. I'm not a native of New York and I can definitely see a difference in what people are willing to tolerate between a free state and a state like New York State.
I was born and raised in South Carolina and I lived in Arizona for three years before I came to New York. I have personally lived and seen that there is a big difference in an overall citizen's thought pattern between different regions of our country. And that's why, oh fuck it why do I bother anymore.
I just need to get the fuck out of commie New York.
At this point, I do not think that in general New York gun owners have a line in the sand. The term pussy whipped comes to mind. I will never ever go through a BGC to simply buy ammo, no fucking way. I'm not playing along, there are other legal options to be used, for now.
I really need to go back to where I came from. It's time, it's beyond time.
I'm not about to live the rest of my life acting like an abused wife to exercise a constitutional right.
And I don't want to pay even more of my hard-earned money that I work for every fucking day. Going toward the inevitable tax increases that are sure to come to support Kathy Hochul's illegal turd worlders.
I suppose I'm getting off-topic now so this rant is over...
But for those of you who post - "jUsT mOvE tO A fReE sTaTe" - herp derp.
Yeah, good luck with fighting the fight here in New York State that's not even really a fight if you stop and think about it for a second.
Ray Charles's butt hairs can see where New York is going and there's no stopping it.
Prove me wrong.
Mask Denier Pure Blood over and out... ... just sayin' get my drift?

How come when I said basically the same thing back in 2013, then again in 2015, everyone said "stand and fight, we can win this fight."
How's that shit working out for you. I moved to the freest state in the union, I couldn't be happier
IDK, I suppose people still had hope back then, I knew better, if it wasn't for the wife wanting to stay close to her family I would have been long gone by now. It's more than just the 2A issue for me.How come when I said basically the same thing back in 2013, then again in 2015, everyone said "stand and fight, we can win this fight."

I'm sure it will work just like the no-fly list. You'll get on it for saying something mean on the internet and you wont find out until you go to board a plane. Then, you wont be told why your on it and have no way to appeal or get your name removed. What’s the no-gun database? As in like you’re a prohibited person and you can’t own a gun? If so shouldn’t they already have that if they are so, so good as they claim?
I can assure you I didn’t vote for her, no one in my immediate family did and I have tried my best to turn liberals against her. I did a lot of talking to people to get Zeldin elected. I’m not sure you know what you’re talking about, with respect. With respect You jerks here voted for the [ censored] or did not try to talk to liberal friends. . You get what you voted for.
Innocent until proven guilty. An exDeputy friend told me tonight that 5 active deputies friends of hers were denied. They were told now they can either wait 6 months to try buying ammo or go to court to prove they should be allowed
I just returned from Pa, on a trip................. to buy a car. Passed thru Gestapo check points
So the SP is setting up Stop-and-Search locations? Where was this? What questions did they ask?
They need probable cause to stop and search. Just seeing ammo isn’t illegal so no reason to stop and search. Drive legally and you will be fine.I can tell yah this, no such thing exists on I-81 into Broome county.
There are a lot of back roads and back ways too. It would be impossible for them to have every back road checked. They literally don't have the man power.
I think honestly he's talking about toll booths for the turn pike, but making it sound more epic and political.
This is why you're supposed to fill your trunk with illegal immigrants so that they leave you alone.I just returned from Pa, on a trip................. to buy a car. Passed thru Gestapo check points; Google maps somehow told me about speed traps ahead.
EZ pass cameras caught the entire operation.
I really did buy a car.
As it is right now PA businesses can't sell a firearm to a NY resident. Don't you think Hochul and James are already working with PA officials to ban them from selling ammo to us as we speak? Look, I don't agree with the data required to purchase ammo but I do know that by me calling and emailing and doing many other things such as owning a car that government already knows all those things about me. The main objective in all this is to put law-abiding FFL's out of business all the while getting us to argue amongst ourselves.
About which part? A friend went to PA yesterday and could buy all the ammo he wanted but not one of the gun shops would sell him a long gun. So yes, I'd say I'm sure because I got first hand info from a very reliable source.Actually, are you sure about that?
@PA Guns & Ammo have you gotten any direction to stop selling long guns?
Doesn’t mean it’s a law. Also what long guns was he trying to buy? Legally speaking you can purchase a long gun not in your home state of its legal in your home state. An FFL can refuse to sell a gun to anyone at anytime so your first hand knowledge means nothing legally speaking. They can sell you any long gun as long as it’s not semi auto or an assault weapon. Semi auto is fine if you have the endorsement and not an AW.About which part? It was a Henry lever action .410. My friend goes to PA every couple of weeks and is on a first name basis with numerous FFL's. I don't know if it's a law but why would several dealers not sell him a long gun? I'm telling you what happened in actuality not some hearsay that I heard from my cousin's friend who has a friend whose uncle used to work for the state police.Doesn’t mean it’s a law. If you think there is some logical useful reason why NYS has become a NICS proxy you're missing the purpose and intent. The purpose I believe, is to make it more difficult and annoying for legal gun owners to purchase ammunition. And as a fringe benefit, if you do concede they get you bubbled up into an "active ammunition buyer" database AND a sweet tax to boot.I'm sure it will work just like the no-fly list. I'm actually wondering how the state will get more out of a background check than what a NICS check would give. As I understand it, they still go through the FBI. If the relevant sources do not give the FBI information (hint hint- just like about every mass shooting suspect has been "watched" but not reported.), why does the state think that they would get that information? If they do give that information to the FBI, than a NICS check would work, and the person would be denied.

Was he given an explanation as to why they wouldn’t sell it to him or was he just told flat out no he couldn’t buy it? I’m not disputing you , just very curious as to why they refused to sell him a lever gun. If anything , out of state FFL’s should be helping to stand up to this tyranny. It was a Henry lever action .410. Several years back I stopped at a Gun Shop in Ohio (along I-90 I believe) and they had a very clear sign that they DO NOT SELL GUNS (maybe ammunition too?) TO NEW YORK RESIDENTS. Pretty well gave them the FOAD and left... besides, I was already loaded heavy from Knob Creek.Doesn’t mean it’s a law. Also what long guns was he trying to buy? Yup, we are a fractured lot when it comes to standing together.Several years back I stopped at a Gun Shop in Ohio (along I-90 I believe) and they had a very clear sign that they DO NOT SELL GUNS (maybe ammunition too?) This is NY. There is nothing logical or useful about it. I know it's a plot to reduce rights bit by bit.If you think there is some logical useful reason why NYS has become a NICS proxy you're missing the purpose and intent. INCREMENTAL elimination of 2A rights. It's an ingenious plan.
Long as I've been in the game, the bullshit NY is and has done against gun owners is mostly an inconvenience to me. The travel bans of covid did hamper my out of state excursions, but that ship has returned to port... I expect there's a half percent of the population that should legitimately should be prohibited and filtered out via checks, but those same people WILL get what they want through other channels, same as they have ALWAYS DONE, the Legislature knows this and knows the non-gun AND Anti-gun people will think this all perfectly fine, which will work to their re-election benefit, which ultimately is what its all about... when the total collapse happens and it becomes open season for candidates, you should know the players.Yup, we are a fractured lot when it comes to standing together.
He was just told they couldn't sell to NY residents. PA does have a state run background check system, maybe that has something to do with it.Was he given an explanation as to why they wouldn’t sell it to him or was he just told flat out no he couldn’t buy it? So they are saying they own you?As it is right now PA businesses can't sell a firearm to a NY resident. You may not like it, nor do I but our own government knows a lot more about you than many think they do. Unless you are a hermit and have absolutely no contact with anything you can and will be in their data base. Think about it, if you have a S.S. number they have been tracking you since birth. So they are saying they own you?
