That is indeed an example of what I an talking about. Frankly given the ease of getting a permit in vast majority of PA I find constitutional carry to be largely academic here. It does sound like it would help defeat the shenanigans NYers face getting PA permits in the border counties though.
PA Government is inept and dysfunctional.
Nothing ever gets done in Harrisburg, good or bad. PA is one of the most ass-backward states I've ever been in. A bill like this one has been put forward in one form or another for decades now, part of a rotating roster of anti gun bills that get...
The yoke repair raised my eyebrow too. I didn't notice any issues with its operation but I'm not very familiar with revolvers in general so I probably missed something. I put the laser grips back on and put the dot right atop the front sight, she is all ready for some long awaited range time...
I don't know if they did a stealth trigger job or what but the trigger is noticeably smoother and lighter now
Edit: they had to have, the trigger is really smooth and slick and the pull is definitely lighter. It's really quite a nice double action pull.
I can also tell by the cylinder face...
True. If S&W released a 30 round M&P magazine that wouldn't matter as much but they don't so there is that. I think I'd still rather have the folder however. I like magazine-in-grip PCCs better than the standard style.
I don't think it actually matters who the speaker is. RINO or MAGA Mike Johnson isn't going to do anything for us. Frankly the best case scenario was for the situation to have gone on and effectively have the house shutdown. A non-functional government is the best we can hope fir these days.
Do you know what your IQ is?
I received numerous IQ tests throughout my schooling years as well as before and after my military service. My IQ score is not low.
I think most people here can perceive that.
It's one of the reasons I am anti-communist.
Maybe if you wish upon a star Lennin will come back to you and you can finally be free of all these evil capitalists.
@RedBreast21, you are new here so you might not know, @Mosinitis here is a self avowed communist and Stalin apologist. Its true.
I just noticed the poll above, was that always there? I don't think I'll be able to vote though as I think @Depick should do both.
I shoulder carry at work, which is 90% of my total carry time, but I also carry IWB and OWB in my off time. I also recently purchased the lightweight S&W 340pd...
You describe situations where someone is actually holding the gun. If a loaded gun is sitting on a table in a quality, well fitting holster and you happened to walk in front of the muzzle do you think you are in any actual danger?
Shoulder holster is no different. Guns do not just "go off" for...
If the gun in question is of modern design with effective safety mechanisms and if the holster effective blocks all access to the trigger AND you refrain from futzing with gun in the first place what actual danger is there?
As a truck driver Shoulder carry is my preferred CC method. Either a Shield Plus in a Galco Miami Classic lite, like tge one @Deplorable Me posted, or a Glock 19 in a standard Galco Miami Classic.
Shoulder carry is wrongly overlooked; while there are drawbacks such as slow speed of draw and...
Why in the world would anyone advertise their intentions here?!
This thread glows like the irradiated scorpions in White Sands AZ.
That said as a PA resident I heartily invite the NYS gestapo lurkers to go fuck themselves with very large objects until they bleed to death.
The feaks in Albany...
Shot a buddies Bond Derringer at the range a couple times. It was a 2" in .357.
Well made firearms, excellent construction and a nice feeling action.
Recoil in .357 was brisk but not unbearable, wouldn't go so fat as to say it was pleasant to shoot but it wasn't painful.
Foreign investment is important so I do not support banning Foreign nationals from owning property. I do support cutting communists off completely from any economic activity.
I also support restricting land purchases around strategic areas and I also support expediting or otherwise adavantaging...
I'm fine with fucking China over in any and every way possible. If Armageddon kicks off here I want it to be China we launch the majority of our nukes against.
I can't disagree. The 340PD just had an "it" factor for me so I bought it. If I had to do it again or if S&W doesn't get it right I'll turn it in for an LCR. Only thing giving me pause on the Ruger is the larger size of the grips, the smaller grips on the J frame only just keeps from poking...
I have noticed a problem. Trigger randomly locks up. I have reliably created the lockup by holding it vertically, barrel up. Sometimes I need to jiggle it while vertical to lock it up but it does lock up repeatedly. It usually becomes free when help horizontally but sometimes requires to be...
LCR had a nicer trigger but the grips would have been just a tad to bulky for the kind of pocket carry I had in mind. The very low weight of the 340 PD will also help for pocket carry in running pants with no belt.
Also I just thought the thing was cool honestly.
S&W 340 PD, an 11.8oz .357 Magnum.
It won't be so much an EDC gun for me but rather a pocket gun to have on me for my early morning runs. Also as a 'too lazy/rushed to put on a belt holster gun such as when just going outside for a few minutes to get the mail, take out the garbage or to make a...
Finally got it.
Doing dry fire practice now. Working on staging the trigger on the second click. I can break the pull clean from that second click.
The laser dot is helpful for this.
Smith & Wesson 340 PD, the lightest .357 Magnum you can buy.
Ammo on the left are the intended carry round, .38 +p Golden Saber bonded. On the right are .38 148gr standard pressure wadcutters for practice, in the center are 148gr .357 Magnums to satisfy my curiosity. If I can get through a...
Welp, hit a setback. My buddy backed out ofntge gun deal so now I will be waiting until payday (Thursday) to pay off the remaining balance.
Worked 60nhoursnlast week so I'll still make the nut.
Taurus is one of those companies that is difficult to get a concensus on. Some of their models are considered gtg, some are considered garbage, most of their products suffer from suspect quality control but that isn't unique to Taurus by any means.
Their revolvers are good looking pieces that's...
I haven't picked it up just yet. I've had it on lay away with $400 or so to go. However I have been pestering a buddy to buy my PPQ and related accouterments for $500 and it looks like he is ready to pull the trigger this Monday. I will then pay off the remaining balance on the 340 the...
..........kinda? As per usual for me I say I'm looking for one thing and then go in another direction. In this case I am spending scope money on an S&W 340PD for a pocket carry gun. I made the mistake of handling some J frames at the LGS and got a serious case of "gotta have its" then...
I got the holster, I ordered the ridiculously expensive laser grips and I think I will have the remaining balance of the gun itself paid off next week.
No it is not tiring. It is a significant distinction that we as a society have allowed to become blurred since Bush used 9/11 to bamboozle the public into accepting a police state.
There is far too much 'us and them" mentality in law enforcement today.
The widely held notion that private...
