I recently had to go through the sexual harassment training at work. Shit like "But it was never my intention to cause discomfort" doesn't matter.
If you tell a joke, it doesn't matter if you intended to offend them or not, it's the standard of a rational person taking offense. Stand too...
Depends on who is shooting, and what they are shooting.
FBI targets for giggles, grid squares, or the little repair dots if I am shooting for accuracy.
When my boys shoot, we still with a simple 6" or 12" bulls eye.
I know it's only a newspaper, but come on, these people are supposed to write for a living....
Laying, and lying are two different words, with two different meanings....
Lying, to tell a lie.
Laying, to have laid down.
So, unless they were arrested for telling an untruth on the platform, a...
For that much reloading, you're going to want a progressive setup..... eventually.
My suggestion is to buy the Lee manual, and the ABCs of Reloading first.
Read both books cover to cover, then get a single stage starter kit from Lee, along with one set of dies for a caliber you want to reload...
The Lee manual has a pretty good front half with a LOT of tips for the starting reloader. I don't agree with everything they suggest, but it's a good start. It also has a massive number of different load data in the back half.
One other thing to look for is one of these...
Open gun.
Hold the front of the receiver, so the barrel, and back side of the upper are in a safe direction.
Pull charge handle to eject live round from chamber.
Unload magazine by hand.
I didn't see them painting it as Jewish indoctrination, but as progressive indoctrination intended for kids that happen to be Jewish.
That's from the camp's mission statement, so I guess Jewish kids are the main target for it, but I'm sure they are happy to indoctrinate anyone willing to pay...
That's funny, and sad at the same time. If you pay the fee, it's legal to have, so you're buying an exemption to keep property that you already own in a legal state of ownership..... Yup, sounds like NY to me.
Thanks for clarifying that. I guess I had always assumed the "supreme court" was, well, supreme lol. Learn something new every day.
What are you supposed to do with them when you aren't hunting or fishing? If it's sitting at home in a drawer, and you haven't renewed your hunting/fishing...
It's a NY State Supreme Court ruling. They ruled that assisted knives fall under the state law that covers switchblades. The ruling applies to the whole state, not just NYC.
And............ a new "official" cable solved the problem. Now I just have to import the channel list to each clone of each radio....
I have the family, and general bands, as well as the weather channels on the list. Anything else to suggest for the Rochester area?
I uninstalled the driver, and chirp, then did a clean install of both just to be sure. Still have it locking up when the radio power cycles, and blue screen when the cable is unplugged from the computer. I am taking a break from this for a little while, it's not helping my attempt at cutting...
I tried copying them over by hand. It still locks up, and gives a blue screen when the cable is unplugged from the computer.
I'm going to uninstall the driver, and go from there.
Used the Menu to reset it, scanned it, added the default FRS channels from chirp, and uploaded them.
As the upload was happening, the radio rebooted (screen went dark, showed all of it's icons, then showed the two channels), and the upload stopped dead in it's tracks.
I got 4 radios in total; a three pack, and another that came with the cable.
I installed the cable, and cloned the first radio.
Then I added all the FRS and GMRS channels to the list.
I renamed the FRS bands, then tried to reload the list to the radio.
It locked up about 1/2 way through, so I...
So..... I got chirp to read the radio, made saved cloned image of it, but now, if I try to upload to the radio, it starts, the green LED lights up on the radio, then the radio power cycles, and the upload bar on chirp stops....
I tried to reinstall the cloned img file, but it does the same...
That's how I'm looking at it now, not as money lost, but an investment if things go south. I was hoping for a decent way to communicate when me and my boys are camping, so I'll have to keep looking for those.
Time to try a climb the learning curve on the chirp program.....
Yes, it was, and you should feed bad. You should feel so bad that you go out and buy a 30-30 crimp die, and give that one away for free also... But you have to tell me first, so I can claim it first.... You know, fair and square and all.
Honestly, I think it's really cool that people on the...
The text says 30-30, but the box looks like 30-06
If it's a 30-30, I'd be happy to take it off your hands. If it's really a 30-06, I'm sure someone else can use it.
Looks like it's a 30/06 by the part number on the card :( for me. :) for someone who reloads 30-06 if the card is accurate though.
If you take it anywhere without doing an FFL transfer, you run the risk of getting your roommate into trouble.
If you sell it without an FFL transfer, you could be getting into trouble.
Talk to the FFL you were going to use. You may be able to drop it off like a consignment, and have them run...
I do the same, with one exception: Crimped mil brass I will reload. I have found tons of Lake City Nato with the crimp, and primer sealant still on it, so I call those once fired.
Other than that, I agree with unknown source pick up brass.
If you want a pistol grip, get an 870 (because of the trigger guard mounted safety), and one of these: Choate Machine & Tool - Remington 870 Top Folder - Product Details.
Short if you want it short, full stock if you want that instead.
The drawback is there it zero cheek weld, and I do mean...
Because it is not a semi-automatic, none of the "assault weapon" laws apply to it.
The law is written as a "semi-automatic rifle, with a detachable magazine, and any of the following features:" is an assault weapon, and is illegal unless registered. Because that rifle is not a semi-automatic...
