Yay custom gun thread is back.....
I personally would do the TiN but more so for the added protection.
But with that being said (and because I think the color would look tits, I'll have to find who does it again now) but there is a new way they are putting TiN on so instead of a "Gold" color that really sends the fudds into cardiac arrest, they do a "rose" TiN

Well the barrel came in now wasting to find some magazines on sale. Here's a picture but I already damaged the camera on my new phone and it won't focus right.
Is that the rose TiN?
First night at the defensive pistol league a few weeks ago. This was the first speed shooting I had done with the new pistol. Also it was the first time I had put my combat belt to the challenge.
For the pistol, I love it. I still need time with it to get more familiar. Also I'm not fully adjusted to the red dot. I found myself switching between it and the front sight. I usually would make the change right before I broke the shot. Which was casing me trouble on the steel.
For the belt setup it worked as advertised. I didn't use the inner belt through the loops. The belt stayed put enough for me and didn't notice any bouncing. Next time I order a holster from them I will add the padded belt liner so I'm not wearing out the velcro. If your looking for a belt setup I would definitely recommend the g-code system.
Even with the unfamiliarity of my equipment I think I finished second. I was a close to 2 other people and had to leave early so IDK how they did. Anyways here's a video of one of the runs.

@MilesTeg, super cool man! I want to get into stuff like this too! I wanna get my pistol skills up more first though, so I don't totally embarrass myself.
I went to my first match with less than 500 round ever through a pistol. Everyone one was very supportive and just wanted to make sure I was safe. By the end of the season I was doing the timing and RO duties. My suggestion is make the leap and do it you won't regret it.
Is that a P320RX?
What I was running in the video? That was the custom G22 from this thread. But I started with a 1911.

I would love to compete and shoot more events, but don't have the time. I have 2 small kids (less than3 years old), building a house and still in training to become a full engineer. So the every other week shoots after work are even hard to make.

I have been. I can't wait for the kids to be older and able to involve them in hobbies. It's so bad I haven't even had the chance to test the conversion barrel and mags yet. I'm hoping for an hour on Sunday to do it.

It’s tough with little one. I think time is better spent with your kids while they r young. They grow so quick, enjoy them.
Pretty mediocre run tonight. I really need to do some more speed shooting and draw drills with the new gun. I keep losing the red dot.

At those distances you should work on pulling the trigger far faster. Also less moving if you can help it.
It looks like your 4th position could have been shot without moving to the other side of the stick.
Another idea. When you pick up the case step right far enough to see both targets and blast away fast. Faster to step right two steps than walk forward slowly.
Also, move from position to postition faster. This is a free way to pick up a couple of seconds.
Also. Reload when you move. Before you get to your next shooting position.

Grab some snap caps and do dry fire draws and practice leaning around corners in your house.
Practice your draw in front of a full length mirror, bring your sights to center mass on your chest.
All great tips, I need more range time! Plus I have never had any formal training or mentors to correct me. I think I would benefit a lot from sometime having someone who knows more than me correct my bad habits.
