Just an absolute tragedy. I worry about how this event will be twisted and manipulated to advance political agendas. A few previous contributors made very good points of current issues that this could impact. I’m sure the media will be emphasizing the racial aspects of this at every opportunity.

Although physical appearance doesn't necessarily indicate mental state, the suspect has a certain "crazy" thing going on. Perfect pickings for a targeted push into committing such a heinous crime.

As tragic as this is and sad - it is that personified, what I find equally disturbing is the butcher of babies, the queen of slaughter, the cover photo of evil Kathy Hochul showing her face and playing political games with this. She is as evil as a person comes and I am not using hyperbole. I asked her face to face about her support of, strong advocacy for and now funding of the killing of innocent children in the womb. Her answer to me, the look on her face and the glare in her eyes was just pure evil - felt like I was hearing from the devil himself. I had to walk away. We have some vile sick leaders in the state and they are coming for us. 1a, 2a, our pocketbooks, you name it, these are evil people hanging out in a dark dark place. You can almost feel the evil in the State Capital building.

There’s been much research on this about terror cells and mass shooters loving media coverage for free publicity and recruitment efforts.

What’s the goal? Destroy the country and call it a day? Another mass shooting can’t distract people. They see the gov failing anytime the fill up the tank, buy food or try to buy baby formula. Which to that point I hate that the media is saying it's a hate crime and using the logic of 10 of the 13 victims were black. Well gee that's about the correct ratio of genetic characteristics for customers who frequent that store. It's bad science and analysis.

This guy did say in his manifesto that he chose that store because of those demographics, so in this case the media is not stretching at least that part of the story.
He drove 3 hours specifically to get the store with the darkest demographics, so I'd say it's reasonable to call it a hate crime. Much as I despise the term, if it were ever appropriate, this would be it.
Same playbook over and over. And yes the goal is to destroy this country. Turn it into a 3rd world shithole. You know like Obama wanted.

Can't wait to move to a state that responds to something like this with the attitude that more law abiding citizens that carry is the answer compared to a state that answers this sad situation with we have too many guns too easily available.

I guess the part about him driving to that area specifically because it was heavily black doesn't matter then? He intentionally went to a store in the blackest zip code that was close enough for him. He had the intent to kill as many black people as he could who He referred to as "white replacers". It's pretty clear what his motives were. Racially motivated gets tossed around way too much, but this one actually fits the bill.

No plan "A", no matter how well thought out, survives first contact. To be more direct...no, I don't think he was lead, drugged, switched on ( Jason Bourne stuff lol).....ect. Was he influenced by the educational indoctrination; the tv media; social media and then left to marinate which then triggered him? Very possible.
Having raised children now, I say with certainty that critical thinking is not supported or promoted in all levels of our supposed educational system. We create young people that only react to stimuli.

I wouldn't be surprised if the upcoming NYSRPA case in SCOTUS wasn't a driving force behind this shooting. It definitely may give more credence to the opposing sides views on the case, even though it shouldn't.
Like many others have said in the post, especially regarding Milwaukee. It's all about manipulation of narrative, perspective, and what the media wants everyone to see.
This was the perfect storm being "racially motivated", use of an "assault weapon", and use of body armor. Top it all off with a manifesto like a cherry topping on a sundae.
What I REALLY want to know is how people like this clown and the Sunset Park train shooter slipped through the cracks if they were on the proverbial "radar". Unless they intentionally let them so these EDPs could execute their plans.

I merely said the media sucks. They have crappy logic and explanations for everything.
The attack is very clearly racist from his actions, his words written on his rifle, why he chose that location, his manifesto there are many reasons that as of now very clearly point to hate and racism etc...
But the media was like "it's a hate crime as evidence by 9 of the 12 victims being black" when in reality that's about the ratio that would be expected at that store. They just say dumb shit constantly and it frustrates me.
