Mine, along with the FUAC lowers that I picked up at the same time, are getting stashed. Too many other priorities right now.
I had one of those. Total crap! Its made out of flimsy ass plastic, dropped a loaded one and it broke when it hit the ground. Absolute waste of money! They don't run worth a damn either.Believe me brother, if we were allowed to have them, this would be on there and I'd have it painted to look like tits!

I'm think optic only 18in mid gas 6.5 Grendel Magpul rifle stock and pistol grip fixed mag and a clean free float forend no rails, but a spot for bipod.

Anyone have an opinion on this BCG? Its the one I'm targeting for the build.

I don't have an opinion on that particular BCG and I don 't have experience with Np3 but I do have experience with nickel boron and I'd advise against nickel boron. So while Np3 is supposed to be better, I'd be skeptical about it. Honestly find a good chrome BCG and Bolt. It may very well do better by you than the exotic shit.
But... but.... the zazz! I think both BCM and Daniel Defense offer a chromed BCG and I know both of those are GTG.

Believe me, I bought into that. The BCG I'm running in this NYGF build is great. It's a phosphate coated m16 BCG with a chrome HPT, MPI bolt. The Nickel Boron set up I have works fine, but you have to remove it and clean it after every range session before it cools because it will stick in the chamber like no other. I have never encountered that sort of thing with other finishes.

Just to clarify, I think you would be GTG with either a BCM or Daniel Defense chrome BCG.
Of that I have no doubt. Perhaps I will go that route.

Save your money. Get a milspec bcg.
If you want an upgrade.....rubber city armory is the best bang for your buck.

I'll probably do one of the two above mentioned options. They are both milspec items with that little extra.
Gold plated BCGs rule......
Well that would produce a low friction, corrosion resistant surface. It would be too soft though I think for durability.

But you'd do the DLC one for the same price? I mean I love the DLC finish on my Para2 but I don't see how its worth $325!

The day i buy a proof research barrel and a nightforce is the day i buy one of those for an AR platform gun. and that shit just ain't happening on a middle class college student budget.
Totally dude. I will spec that BCG if I'm ever in a position to do the moneybags carbon fiber/titanium everything build. And I'd put one of those skeletal woven handguards on it for extra gaudy bling.

Ugh picking mine up on Friday if it reaches my lgs in time. Have all the parts for the lower less the buffer tube. Getting anxious.
Well I got the barrel, rail, flashhider and the small parts all taken care of. Just need the bcg, trigger and a fancy charging handle and furniture and we'll be all set, functionally anyway. I'll eventually need a light setup too. Its kinda tough finding offset M Lok mounts that have rings. I might have to go with a direct mount for a Surefire Scout type light. Arisaka Defense has a good setup. Pricey though.
