^ that... if these were more of a thing when I started looking at triggers I would have had gone with these over the Agency Arms i got (which i would also recomend)
I am going to resist the urge to much of anything to the Glock. Other than replacing the sights I will treat it as the ultilitarian tool that is.
Does the US made 19s have that stupid "target trigger" or the better flat faced like the 17s?
ok looks like the US made ones (thanks to not needing to deal with those stupid import points) can use a "smooth" i guess is a better way to word it vs the other groove kind
I guess its mostly irrelevant to me. No matter what you do to the Glock trigger it will never be anywhere near as nice as the Walther PPQ.
I dry fired the gen 5 G19 and found it acceptable.
Past a certain point improvements in trigger feel seem to me more about bragging rights than actual function. There are many parameters that go into the shootability of the design.
I want to see of a flatter shooting gun helps me stay on target better than I do with the PPQ which I typically shoot way low with due to my dipping the muzzle. The PPQ is tall and flippy and I am finding this tendency of mine difficult to correct.
I see the glock as the baseline pistol experience, I am hoping that the G19 will help me to focus on improving my technique. That and be easier to conceal. I'd like to start CC'ing a bigger gun than my Shield.
Changing pistols is not going to help you with anticipating the recoil (dipping the muzzle), the only way to fix that is practice with dummy rounds loaded randomly in the mags so you can actually see when you are doing it. It can take as little as one range session to forever to fix the issue if you don’t take it seriously. A heavier gun will help but you have already developed the habit that needs to be corrected.
I've tried that, nothing seems to help. I don't have this problem with the Shield which I find very odd.
I just don't have anywhere near the trigger time on handguns that I do with rifles/carbines.
I'll have to devote most of my range time to pistols for a while. Which is kind of a bummer because I enjoy shooting my rifles so much!
I have had similar problems when I first started shooting pistol I had no one to help me and developed the bad habits. Shooting lots of bullets is the only real fix.
I can give you on tip that helped me a lot. If your right handed, try to ease up with you right hand and squeeze harder with your left hand. To the point to where you left hand gets tired. When your right hand is real tight it hard to to pull the trigger without jerking.

Try the grip tip. Too tight of a right hand grip and cause left and low.

Just talked to the helpful folks at my favorite LGS, SPAR Firearms, and not only do they have my unnecessarily replaced Daniel Defense in the shop, but they also agreed to set aside a Glock 19 for me for when I return in a few weeks.

what makes that even worse is that i live 15 min from PA so i can almost feel / smell the freedom but am still stuck in NY

we will deff have to, and i suggest that for sure, granted i (and its not necessary at all) did see someone work some dremel magic and got an agency arms magwell onto their gen 5
If the is the Pearse I do like it. The grip feels much better to me with it while shooting. But, I did not try reloading with it dont think it will be a problem but should be tested.
