The FFL is not the one who arrested her. They are both 100% at fault (it is not a 0 sum game). Not THE job, THIS job.
Like I said, perfect example. 100% on FFL. Nothing more to say.

Very serious question. Should the cop have just ignored the call? What should he have done?
I said what i would have done in that situation, i would have answered the call, and if possession was the onle "crime" she was alleged to have committed, I would have looked for her, very slowly. Not sure how long you guys need to look before you call it, but I would not have found her.Very serious question. Should the cop have just ignored the call? What should he have done?

Suppose slavery were still legal, how would you guys respond to a call of someone reported to be helping some slaves escape ? And before you go there, yes, I think this law is that bad.
Serious question. What's wrong with the responding officer 1) Explaining to the woman why she can't can't stop and sell the pistols in the state of NY. 2) Asking the FFL to give her a gun lock. 3) Watching her secure them in her vehicle and sending her on her way to the state of Maine?
I don't know the state side of things to determine what and how much discretion troopers have on a matter like this. How about you tell us? I would like to know.

Then the officer may have jammed himself up for breaking the law himself. This shit really is not as cut and dry as some are making this.

Got it, thanks for the reply. If it's one thing NYS is good at, it's making things more complicated then they really need to be...guaranteed.Because there's already a 911 call detailing a serious of "serious" (according to NY law) felonies being committed by said woman. So stopping her and ignoring them is now a fireable offense, which if done your suggested way, the FFL remains untouched, the lady likely makes it out of NY and the cop some seem to feel should take the brunt of this, well, it takes ALL of it.
Enforced by who?Obey them or face the wrath that the State has put forth.
As per the press release, she was charged with a class A misdemeanor, not a felony.Because there's already a 911 call detailing a serious of "serious" (according to NY law) felonies being committed by said woman. How about if, hypothetically, she had sold the guns to the FFL?
Enforced by who?
Hence the issue.
Sorry, coming in late on this CF, off of Vacation.
Can you believe that FL doesn't even require a front license plate?
How do they even survive!?

Lol.BTW, who in the hell do you think you are? You think you're fucking special or something?
Just because you are enjoying your little vacation in Florida, doesn't mean you can't post while away!
You sir are on ignore.

Get an thing while down there?
I was in West Virginia most of the week, some really good ammo deals.
You don't go where?I don't go there because he scalped people during the ammo frenzy. Dickwad.
Precision Thievery.You don't go where?
Oooooh, you responded after a couple of us were talking about out of state ammo and I got confused.Precision Thievery.
but had she taken them to an anonymous .gov sanctioned "buy-back" event she would have been praised and awarded.
..
lets not forget why this lady was selling the gun in the first place. She obviously doesn't have enough gas money to make it home. Now she is going to be a ward of the New Yorkistan Internment and re-education camp. I doubt she can post bail or would the state even let her post bail. I mean after all she is a major threat to society.
Down on her luck woman tries to sell handguns to Federally licensed Firearms Dealer so she can move on with her life and she is now a CRIMINAL

This is why Precision Armory and what ever Gestapo they called share the blame for this whole incident..
