i should clarify i am looking to buy atleast 2-3 pistols.

recommendation for a second 9 mm and third one a 45

I would go with 1 at time.
I don't think you will get the permit if you include the sales receipts for 3 guns with your permit application.
Did you do the class with Ben like you said you were?

curious as to why it will get declined. [there are provisions in the form to be able to include upto 4, without having to attach extra form for more]

but i will take your advise and just put in 1 for now if thats the case.

2. not sure but want a compact one to be able to easily carry [9 mm] - low or manageable recoil, low maintenance, dependable

i am not a big feller so low recoil is important to me.

You always have a chance of being denied. No reason to tie up funds for 3 guns while waiting 6 months for your permit. Buy one and once approved stack em deep.

Perhaps you should be more precise, and less vague and ambiguous when you make your statements. Your second sentence above is found nowhere by parsing your previous statements.

Carrying without knowing the rules for proper use sets you up for a bad experience. Not sure how that is not understood. Article 35? Whats that? Just fire away when you feel like it!!

If you don't like Glocks get a Sig Sauer P320.
They are comparable to Glocks but have a slightly higher bore axis.
They are also available with night sights.
I would stay away from the bigger calibers to start.
Master 1 gun and 1 caliber before you move on.

But a 43x gives you the same capacity. Why bother? I've always found it to be strange for people to carry a big gun that can only be half loaded from what it is designed to carry anyway. Different strokes I guess.....

I mean because I can, and why would I take a handgun which is already a compromise with ballistics, then give it a smaller barrel which doesn't help with ballistics?

Who cares if a glock 17 standard capacity its 17 and i can only have 10, id rather have a quality fighting gun than something stupid like a 43x, or some micro gun

Glock 17 weighs more which helps with recoil management.
Glock 17 hurts more if you have to rack the slide in his eye socket.

What is the velocity difference between the two, and how does it specifically effect performance in real world situations? Seems just like the "all calibers are the same because they are all within xx diameter of each other and create wound tracks with no discernible difference".

If shot with a 9mm, a 200 FPS difference is not going to make any real difference. The longer sight radius is mute in a real world defensive shooting. You won't even see the sights in that situation and will statically be shooting someone 3 feet away.

Sure I do. I shoot at the range a lot more often than I do at other people defensively. 2 different purposes. It doesn't apply in the situation you mentioned. You were specifically talking about a "fighting gun".

And have you tested it yourself or did you see this one test and go with that? And im not arguing lucky gunner or HST, but have you tested it?

You listed that as an essential reason why your gun is better as a "fighting gun". That point is mute to this argument. If you want to talk long distance shooting on a closed range that is another story, but not the one being discussed here.
