Also is that test only in gel and denim? How would those barrel lengths do if you add something as simple as a car windshield, or any of the other barriers for the fbi testing?
They tested 117 carry loads and this is among the very best. To imply someone is going to buy every ammo themselves and do extensive scientific testing on such is quite silly and not a serious argument. And have you tested it yourself or did you see this one test and go with that? And im not arguing lucky gunner or HST, but have you tested it?
Also why would you even put sights on your carry gun
You listed that as an essential reason why your gun is better as a "fighting gun". That point is mute to this argument. If you want to talk long distance shooting on a closed range that is another story, but not the one being discussed here.

*MOOT*
You are trying to distance yourself from your "I need longer sight radius for my fighting gun" argument, that doesn't really hold water at the distances of defensive shooting. It really isn't moot. You listed one test on denim and gel... guess what, there is more to the world than just heavy clothing.. so how is my point moot?
Still waiting for you to take your own stupid ass advice and take your sights off your carry gun

The study is here, for those who dont already know everything like @Edwardteach72 does.
Handgun Self-Defense Ammunition - Ballistic Testing Data
Lucky Gunner tests more than 110 different 9mm, 45 ACP, 40 S&W and 380 ACP handgun self-defense ammunition loads in ballistic gel with analysis and video.www.luckygunner.com
I'm sure he's done more testing than all others in the world, combined. He is the all-knowing internet warrior.

Post 102 was endorsed by you. Sight radius.Hey look still side stepping everything..
All I said was lucky gunner only tested to one part of the fbi standards
I was referring to you.Oh wow lucky gunner does more testing than the FBI? Damn dude thats fucking impressive.
Can you link your source?
Post 102 was endorsed by you. Sight radius.
Waiting for you to provide your own data to discredit the previously posted data. Also HST is used by an awful lot of LE.
I'll be waiting for your report to review the data.
what are you talking about? Never said it did. A ~1" sight radius will make no difference in a shooting at 3 feet, as the data says is almost every case of defensive shooting.Show me how a glock 43x has a longer sight radius than a glock 17
If you want to carry around a huge gun that can only be half loaded, go for it. Just dont be pounding your chest about a "fighting gun". It's a bit silly. This isn't a movie. You aren't going to be running and diving and doing back flips while taking head shots at someone on the other side of the mall.

NOpe. that was my original point.Ah hey look more deflections
Almost all, yes. 3 shots in 3 feet.So all self defense shootings take place at 3 feet?
NOpe. that was my original point.
Almost all, yes. 3 shots in 3 feet.
You argued "fighting gun". Sights are much more likely to be used on the range. What to deflect? Still haven't told me why you wont take your sights off your gun, remember you don't aim, defensive shootings only happen at 3 feet.
And still won't go back to the ballistics testing. Deflecting on that as well i take it

3 shots in 3 yards is the data.
The Rule Of Threes
Three yards, three rounds, three seconds. According to my friend, mentor, and master defensive firearms instructor Tom Givens, most gunfights involving civilians and felons takes place at a distance of approximately three to five yards, approximately three and one-half rounds are fired, and noccwsafe.com
You are trying to dance away from "fighting gun". Sights are used on the range and not usually in real life up close shooting. You will draw and fire. Point shooting. You won't have time to line sights up.Really? So take your sights off you don't need them
