K9 trapping is a whole different ballgame and yotes are the smartest of them all in my experience. Earth anchors are the way to go imo, best holding power and easiest to conceal under the trap in bed. It is a lot of trial and error. Scent control helps a lot also with them.

I've seen a friend's AR have ftf from mags loaded and not "banged" against a hand to seat all rounds back in the mag. Sometimes they ride slightly forward and don't seem to feed properly.

I refinished a couple old ones I picked up at yard sales....I use one of the newer chinese ones when I catfish at night. I light it and leave it about 10 yards away from my chair. Easy to get to and see what I'm doing re-rigging and draws the bugs away from me.
