If I could build my own I would most likely do the same. More often than not I carry a 1911 that cost about 4 glocks. If I had to use it they can keep the damn thing. I will but another one even if I had to charge it!

If I had to use my gun for self defense I would want the gun I shoot the best with. I could care less about it being taken for evidence and maybe lost.
