Girl's night at the local range is apparently a popular evening. There are a few on the range's uspsa team too.
I like it. Wish my wife would get into it.
I ended up with 10 - 20 round boxes of .223 Wolf Military classic through a trade I did. Didn't realize they were steel case till now. Guy was liquidating all his .223 and it was in a huge mix off stuff. The wolf boxes were new and closed, so I didn't check or ask. I opened one box and ripped...
Good guys in Nanuet is the best LGS around, Alex is awesome. Scott and Irene at Rise are awesome people, great place to go. I hit Blueline in Elmsford after a shitty day on my way home(I work in Yonkers), just to blow off steam, but the people there and prices are not so great.
I also go to...
Nothing to do with Ruger actually. My bad habits with the slide stop caused the problem. Ruger warrantied it without question, and I am more than happy with them.
I have Nikon p-series on all my AR's. Love em
Also Nikon glass. 3-9x40 on the 15's and 4-12x44 on the 10
They are the perfect height for me and it only gets in the way of the charging handle a little bit on the 10.
I wear foamies and slim walker muffs, so I can't attest to big cans.
I probably wouldn't risk shooting at anything further than 150 yards, as I'm not used to it, but likely only going to be shooting within 30-100 yards in the woods. 100 being the extreme. That is if I go hunting where I currently have permission to.
This coming season I have 2 new options...
I'm going to see what deals I can dig up. Seems like there isn't a price difference between the 212 and 220. Kinda sad they don't have a stainless barrel option for the 212 though. It might just steer me more towards the 220.
I'm more comfortable with a bolt action gun. Plus I have a habit of resting on things to steady my aim, and I don't want to have to pick up the gun in event I have to cycle for a follow up, however unlikely.
So, mostly a mental thing.
Due to rule constraints around where I live, I am considering picking up a rifled bolt action shotgun for next season. I want to see if I can get comfortable enough and shoot it as consistently as I do my .308. So I'd like to get it now and put in a good amount of range time before next season...
Send it back, Ruger will keep at it until you are satisfied.
I had an issue with my sr22 which was caused by me, but they warrantied it without question.
Standard model, and have all original stuff and box. Has maybe (and I am being very generous with the maybe) 200 rounds through it. I can't shoot it as I get really bad hammer bite from it, so I never shot more than 2-3 mags before I couldn't take it anymore. It shoots really good and tight...
Are you are cross dominant like me? Its been a real challenge to get myself to be able to shoot consistantly. A red dot or scope of any kind will fix it, but thats a band-aid to me.
I signed and shared on my FB yesterday. Saw a few ppl share it from me.
I would love to have my restrictions lifted without having to pay 1500 bucks and jump through hoops...
I may have to take you up on that. Thank you, its appreciated.
Family member of my wife, who lives in Maybrook up by you, was supposed to get me permission to hunt on the land he hunts, for next year. Fingers crossed.
Here's my problem. I moved up from the city in 15' and have been relying on other people to teach/guide me. I don't have any family that hunts, so I try my best to get in with co workers or friends. I'm eager to learn, all I lack is knowledge/experience.
But it seems that everyone I come in...
2nd year with my license, 2nd set of wasted tags. Rug pulled out from under me 2 years in a row now. Next year I’ll either be walking state land alone, or paying someone to teach me.
My 2020 firearm plan, subject to change as early as 5 minutes from now, lol
First, get rid of my 1911 that makes me bleed, then...
New 1911
shield in .45 to complement my shield 9
.357 revolver
henry all weather .357
Go with him to a range in Jersey. All good there.
I've taken family members and friends to guns 4 hire in Jersey before. Nice place, I recommend it if you are close enough.
Here is my m&p10 and 15. Different route than yours, but still featureless. That stock looks a little wonky, but with me having 3 fingers and half of my palm dangling in space, what can I say...

I'm just looking for any positive/negative personal experiences and/or recommendations on a attorney that works in Rockland county to help me with my pistol permit.
I've searched and contacted a few on my own, just looking for some feedback from the community, positive or negative.
If you...
I have both the m&p 15 and 10. Bought them in NJ configurations and added a spur grip. Done. They shoot great and have given me zero issues. I've put a good amount of rounds through the 15 without a hiccup.

Been there a few times, nice place. Great to go if you want to go with a friend who doesn't have their pistol permit, or if you want to try out a pistol you are undecided on.
FYI, they are open nice and early, and there is an ihop down the road.
