I was just thinking about that very same thing this morning, how they would outlaw ammo reloading
"A law to prohibit the manufacture of 'untraceable ammunition by unlicensed individuals" should do the trick.

Question is will the Federal Gov't step in to reign in the over reach of States looking to encroach upon their territory?
@ManrisFrack I appreciate the insight. I admit I'm still struggling with "register with the state" (specifically the "state" part). Is the implication that the serial number should be in an FFL's (federal) book?
And yet you can buy or build a car that will do 200+ mph. With absolutely no government interference. I'm jealous."A law to prohibit the manufacture of 'untraceable ammunition by unlicensed individuals" should do the trick.
I am not worried a bit. This is more of the same useless BS everywhere.Don't worry meketrefe. I'm sure they have that one on deck.
Nothing. That would be racist.I am not worried a bit. This is more of the same useless BS everywhere.
However I didnt see the section onbhow they plan to stop the inflow of gosht replica guns from Indonesia or pholipines that are the favorites of gangs and cartels and many used in crimes and then discarded after they become dirtry( used in murder) and perhaps sold to el Salvador for pennies on the dollar where they will never be seen again.
What is NYS doing about that problem?
Okay, I'm on it. You wouldn't happen to know the guy I'm suppose to send my newly minted numbers to would you? Well, I guess there isn't a federal mandate for such, so I guess my date book will have to do.The state doesnt give a standard, however the feds do. Maker, City and state, serial number. Needs to be deeper than .003" no smaller than 1/16" tall
So far the regime has been silenced on the subject. And there I was, thinking about taking it to the next level. I was seriously considering buying additional tools to be able to thread my own barrel muzzles, and install a muzzle brake on a few of my own bolt-action rifles. Hmmmm.
NY has a simple test.Ok but how do they grandfather something no one can see or catch?
Gosts can roam around for centuries.
What defines a person is a gunsmith?
I hope a reloader is not consider an ammunition manufacturer neither.
What next? Serialize every shell casing?
If the entire gun community became a car community over night, expect the “A vehicle manufacturer cannon manufacturer a car designed to drive or speed more than the speed limit” law.And yet you can buy or build a car that will do 200+ mph. With absolutely no government interference. I'm jealous.
There is also absolutely nothing in NY standing in their way anymore.
How do we push back? Should we start a go fund me page with an organization that we know and trust to fight for our 2A rights? Talk to our representatives that will take our rights into consideration? I really want to know because NY have gone too far.By choice. Antis are winning by default because there is zero pushback by any 2A organization.
Stockholm syndrome. Is it possible we start all over again. In 2020 we create a true NY 2A organization first then do the other step one step at a time carefully?First we would need a 2A organization.
Next we would need progun rep. And N.Y. Is too dumb to vote for one, you know just like how the blacks vote in the slave masters the Jews vote in the gas chamber experts; demonrats, what's the name of the condition where you love your capture?

Individuals and 2A groups must be seen as part of the Democrat party constituency, go to their events and participate in their candidate selection process. This isn't difficult.
For example, there was a choice between two Dems running in Rockland for Senate. One was better than the other. Simply tell members/constituents that and to go vote accordingly. Candidates do not have to be perfect. Elections are a decision, not a referendum on the issue. Second example, there was a choice between the incumbent Westchester DA and a moonbat challenger. Moonbat Mimi is a lot worse. Simply tell members/constituents that and to go vote accordingly. By sitting by and doing nothing, Democrats do not see gun owners/2A orgs as part of their constituency and therefor do not care what they think. This isn't hard. If you don't participate, you aren't relevant.
Further, there is no effort to highlight the failure of gun control laws to relevant media. It takes a negligible amount of effort to put together a presser and distribute it to appropriate political reporters. By remaining silent reporters will cover only one side of the story. This too isn't hard either. If you don't speak up, the media won't cover you, electeds won't hear you, members/constituents think you're doing nothing, and you aren't relevant.
This isn't about money or lack of resources. This is about lack of effort.
Really, I have for years contacted media in the Syracuse area,
