Very nice! I have to say I'm glad you changed the grip. The hex pattern grip looked cheap to me, no offense meant. Is that a Primary Arms red dot?View attachment 21009
It's done. Got my bcg and trigger in today. That jmt saber trigger is a really nice, clean pull. Quick change of the gas block for legality whenever its in New York and I'm gtg.
strikefire, and yes, i think i knew all along i'd be changing the grip. never was very fond of it.Very nice! I have to say I'm glad you changed the grip. The hex pattern grip looked cheap to me, no offense meant. Is that a Primary Arms red dot?
Also an adjustable gas block would make things easier shooting. Finally shot it today. That miculek brake works wonders, it's like shooting a 22lr. Follow up shots won't be a problem. Accuracy seemed great considering I was using a red dot. Also the thing is damn light. I need to get a scale that can weigh it. As for the trigger. Nice clean break, good reset, the only complaint is that putting it on safe can be kinda hard with your grip hand. Had to use my offhand to do that. Down the line in want to get a better bcg for it. Right now it has a brownells nitride one. Good, but we can do better.

After seeing how light this one is compared to my first one, I am considering dropping a few more ultralight parts into it. So far every ar ive built has gotten lighter than the last. I also want the adjustable block cause when i ran it like a normal ar in semi it felt a touch bit overgassed. I really like the alg handguard on it though. I'm sure i could drop a few ounces by changing it out but its probably my favorite that I've handled so far.No need for a different bcg. You wont really gain anything. Unless you want to go way lighter for your adjustable gas system.
Get a titanium bilt and an adjustable gas key. Adjustable Gas keys are far better than the adjustable gas blocks.
On sale for $80 at Primary Arms. I have one on an AR and one on a PCC. Much better than milspec.
Rise Armament Black Fallout RA-140 Super Sporting Trigger RA-140-BLK
I almost bought this one , but the reviews on PA scared me off a little too much. The reports of light strikes is one thing, but the reviews there mentioning double and triple bursts.. that's off-putting. Of course with reviews you never know who the reviewer is, what they know and what they don't, and what else they might have done to cause those issues. It's the right price still, but tough call.
Take a couple of years to build it if you have other guns to use. This way you can afford and build a sweet gun with a nice accurate barrel, expensive trigger and for looks the rail you like the most. I would rather take the time and build a sweet AR,,,,,,then to have one thats just okI just arranged shipping the lower to my FFL. I haven't had the time or money to actually start a build. Since I don't have an AR, I will probably just buy a ~$500 kit from Palmetto State or something. I've had another stripped lower sitting around for a few years now.

I understand what you are saying.....and i do agree
BUT
He should put SOMETHING together so he can begin to use it. So he has it. He has a lower already for years that he never built. If he gets one done then he can shoot it amd think about what options he needs or wants based on actual usage experience.
@NirvanaFan too bad you did not reach YOUR forum sponsor for your “$500 kit”. Maybe we have something for you.....
Coming out of the closet? Good for you man! You should feel a big relief after hiding it for so long.

What are the benefits of a flat trigger? Almost got something similar for my build but decided against it when I saw some really good reviews on that jmt trigger I got.Package came today. A fella on here recently posted something along the lines of, "I like my women curvy and my triggers flat".
Me too buddy , me too.
