WTF? I don't get it...just goes to show that THEY are out there, and their mental illness manifests itself in ways you can't even imagine. That is, until you see it for yourself.
I believe you are correct. I lived nearby years ago, but back then it used to be Goldstock's...I might be wrong.
Goldstock's was a sporting goods store way back in Schenectady, like 100 years ago. They were on Broadway then moved to Glenville and sold mostly skiing stuff as I remember. I...
Oh the patina!
Seriously, if it was me, I'd refinish the thing...not much to it. But a good cleaning will still give you an interesting wall hanger. Hey, it was grandpa's, keep it in the family...pass it down the line.
My live trap arrived late yesterday pm. I've read that canteloupe works well; carrots are certainly cheaper...I'll give em a try.
Now, about that bear.....
If somebody offered me a taste I would definitely give it a try. I have heard they're tasty...got to remove the lymph nodes or glands, I believe that's the same with squirrels?
Right? Photocopies...yeesh. I got a call back from the Sheriff's office Friday, and was told don't worry about, everybody knows it's all f-ed up. The Deputy then says I'm ok during the day with a photocopy, but probably not at night when their office is closed; no way for LE to verify. WTF?
Ditto on CZ. Savage...maybe, but product consistency seems to be up and down. Browning makes some really nice stuff too, but I hear their triggers are not so hot. The straight pull is very cool.
You guys might laugh, and it's not a bolt gun, but have a Remington 597 that I bought in the late...
In my lifetime, I have had permits from three NY counties. All three fucked up paperwork one way or another. The worst was Schenectady, which generated a bench warrant in Suffolk. When we settled in Scary County, and of course requested a Scary County permit, they mailed me a blank permit and...
God's honest truth. My wife just took off for the day with a friend. This girl had a set a set of license plates with the paint about completely peeled off. So she calls and calls DMV about replacements. DMV stopped answering the phone weeks and week ago. So she goes to our DMV in Schoharie...
Yeah, I'll copy everything. And not that I'll worry about it. But you never know when something F-up'd could happen and it's just your luck that some cop with a bug up their ass ruins your day. I don't have a problem with LE folk, but I'll keep my distance. Actually, I did call Troop G and...
Yup, we got one again....mowed down all wifey's hostas, she's pissed. He's a big ole fat one too, pork roast with legs.
In my old age I'm kind of averse to killing critters, but trap for chucks is about $80.
This is interesting. Yesterday I checked the county website to find out what kind of obstacle course I would have to run to amend my carry permit. I knew that the offices had been closed due to the bug, but that had been a while back. I discovered that there is a "temporary" process in place...
The Micro 9 was on my runner-up list. A plus was the sights, but I went for the greater capacity. I too had read/heard about QA/QC issues with Kimber, bottom line though...nice.
The EMP had my eye for a long time, 1911 controls, all metal, hammer fired, 9+1 capacity, and small. Good looking to boot. Comes with three mags..bonus. Out with the 45s for carry. BUT, if I do, down the road, feel the need, I'll bag a full sized 1911 for a range toy, although it seems I can...
The deal is done. The RIA 45 is in my local shop on consignment, and went and purchased a 9mm online. The hand wringing is over.
I didn't get to meet the fellow at Tauris Holsters though. He called and just wasn't up for company. In his own words, he was pretty much at the end of the trail...
I'm guilty already....
If you cannot cow them with your rhetoric into doing what you view to be the
right thing, then turn them into criminals and suspects.
The Sig 365 seems always popular, and I have heard of the safety issue with the 938. And I'll confess to being a Kimber fan, though never owned any. Well, my brain is working overtime now, way too many choices. Crazy finishes, crazy grips, combat this, tactical that, and then there's...
Nooooo, no 9 v 45 bottomless pit. It shows my age, in the service my issued sidearm was a 45, and even then it was a chore dragging that thing around...until I got out of armor and they gave me a 16!
Last year I started looking at 9s and I did focus on that SIG 938, the CZ RAMI too. But I...
I have a 1911 commander sized 45 that I bought a proper belt and pancake holster for. It's been a few years now, and I've reached the conclusion that the pistol and holster simply don't work for me. It's a concealment issue mostly, but I no longer have the upper body flexibility either...
I was a big baseball fan. Then came the first baseball strike, and that was it for me. But that wasn't about thugs, and drugs, and racist shit, and anti-American socialists. They all can take a knee to the groin.
And yes, great job on the weight loss. I too was interested in the KORE belts...somebody here had once spoke well of them. They don't sound so great now....
I too lost a bit of weight and needed one belt altered. So off to the cobbler rather than a MuttCat cob job. They will shorten the belt at the buckle end...no new holes.
Weasels are deadly. Several years ago we had one that cleaned out the voles around the house. That critter had no fear of humans either when he was working. I believe that in NYS we have two kinds of weasels. Ours, I'm pretty sure, was a Least weasel, a little guy.
