The finish on the barrels is factory. They weren't bought as blanks, they were bought as 18" midlength barrels. They all have receiver extensions I got 1-2MOA from my build, typical DMR accuracy

reloading would be a wise choice. Lee reloading tools are really good for beginners and won't break the bank. Good project for you and grandpa if he's into that sort of stuff
