I'd figure out what your town/county laws are then make sure your outside the 500ft distance the state proscribes. After that beg, borrow, or steal a bulldozer to make your backdrops.
That guy is such a dingus. He is openly mocked in every community he trys to join. He has made it perfectly clear he doesn't give a rats ass about the second amendment or the rights of gun owners. All he cares about is his wallet.
Trump ran on a protectionists policy in part. I hope he does get rid of the import bans but I am willing to bet some manufacturers are going to be lobbying hard to have them stay in place.
Thanks @GOPerfect, Seeing your posts over the last few weeks let me have a glimmer of hope. It was a glimmer I ruthlessly squashed but hope all the same. In two years I'll try and keep a more positive out look.
I've got nothing left at this point, I'll be pleasantly surprised if he wins. Other than that I just pray we keep the senate and Zephyr Teachout looses so bad she sells her house and never comes north of the Tappanzee again.
I finally got around to plugging you into google maps and your actually only about 2.5 hours away. How late into the season do you keep the rifle range open?
Walmart is a good place to check, if one doesn't have what your looking for start calling others in the area and asking what they have for 30-06 ammo instock. Depending on how far your family is willing to drive I've gotten ammo at reasonable prices from herb philipsons.
And you CAN buy ammo...
Its horribly basic for $900, but people are going to eat it up because its a Springfield. Then they get it home realize they want all the bells and whistles the coolkids have and proceed to drop $1500 on a free float tube, aftermarket trigger, piston kit, and the half a dozen other things that...
This argument is dump, The day I see someone carrying iron skillets and asbestos as body armor I'm going to point and laugh. This argument had gone on for so long there are memes of it.
Ruger 10/22, the aftermarket alone makes it worthwhile. It's entirely possible to build a 10/22 without a single ruger part if you want.
I've been meaning to get a 10/22 take down for a while now.
Ive got a Saiga, it works. When i get around to installing a bullet ramp it will take ak mags. I need to find a gunsmith willing to do the drilling required to remove the trigger so I can replace the full paddle safety. Its not the most accurate thing but it does its job.
The reddit long range shooting community is a pretty good source of info, they make a quarterly scope guide.
The rest of the subreddit is pretty good, just be warned they have a collective hard on for 6.5 cm and savage 10s.
Does anyone know of any rifle ranges that offer day passes? My rifle is zeroed at 100 at the moment and I'm comfortable with it out to 200.
I was invited by a family member to go hunting out west and I would like to put a few rounds down range at a longer range before I take the rifle out west...
I really want to hope something comes of this, but I cannot. Call me a debie downer but I'm willing to bet FBI director announces a few days before election she hasn't done anything wrong.
If its an A2 stock you could always go with a piece of closed cell foam and lots and lots of electrical tape. Ive seen several people do this to get the exact height they want for very little money.
Here is a guide on lucky gunner How to Make an Improvised Cheek Rest and Improve Your Accuracy...
I got a second degree burn on my face and lips at work several months ago. I have to keep shaven because hair wont grow there anymore. Face burns sucks.
I didn't know I had to join a club to buy a rifle from them. I was thinking about it after I saw a few get posted on reddit and apparently they are soldout of all the < $1000 ones.
My 870 Express, the vast majority of all my hunting has been done with this gun. My first and second deer, numerous birds of various sorts. Not to mention the all the clays.
.308 10-Round Mag, WYATT'S OUTDOOR, INC.
Considering the price they charge for mags I'd go with something AICS compatible so you can take advantage of cheaper polymer mags.
I own 4 of the magpul polymer 5 round mags and 1 of the tens. I haven't yet had an issue yet
Magpul PMAG AC Mag AICS...
They are I paid $700 + $45 shipping and $15 ffl fee + tax for mine. Still worth it in my opinion. I like it, it's fun to shoot, it feeds the 22¢ steel cased ammo perfectly.
The paddle on the safety hits the trigger mechanism. Even with the hammer disengaged.
This guy on ar15.com had the same issue and had to remove the whole trigger assembly to get the safety out.
Safety Lever Removal on an AK (Saiga) - AR15.Com Archive
The consensuses on the saiga forums is...
The safety on my saiga does not rotate up and out. It has the full paddle on the selector. I bought a krebs ambi safety to replace it with but im not sure how to go about getting the original safety out.
I want too. They had some at Herbs in Herkimer. They didn't have any in a caliber I own in stock and I haven't seen it on any of my usual online ammo retailers.
I have an XLR industries evolution, it's nice. But to be honest I kinda regret buying it. There's nothing wrong with it and it functions perfectly, I just feel kinda stupid for buying something I really don't need. @meketrefe is right your better off putting the money into into other things on...
To some extent I recognize the reason for a ammo storage limit in a densely populated area with a habit of lighting it's self on fire every other week.
Correct me if I'm wrong but It's not that big a deal if the fire department in some town decides to just contain a house fire and let it burn...
Savage 10 or Remington 700. After market parts galore. I know some people are convinced freedom group is run by Satan and Hillary's bastard child but my 2015 R700 is fine. And anything I don't like about it I can fix with aftermarket parts.
Oh lordy don't mention EMP.
And I've heard good and bad things about the primary arms red dot. From what I gather it's great for what it costs but it's not as good as a aimpoint.
