I did not like the hinged trigger safety compared to the blade safety. I don't know if it is because the one I shot was a rental that had 10k+ rounds through it but it didn't feel as nice as the blade.
@togmaster I dont really mind the paddle release but the VP9 does cost more, the glock grip didn't bother me either.
Thanks for the offer but I escaped NY a while back and now live down in NC.
@Bullet Guy the glock aftermarket was something I thought about but of the three I like the glock...
Vortex is great as @Gardnaaa said. I have several of their products and I like all of them. As for red dots I've got the Strikefire II. I like it, It is bigger and it does weigh more than the SPARC but it has a wider objective and does both green and red dots. It also comes with a cantilever...
I've kinda narrowed it down to these three. They are good guns at a similar price point and I having a hard time deciding which to get. The glock has better and cheaper aftermarket support but the vp9 feels better in the hand. The P10 seems like all around the best one to go for because it feels...
I think that Glock had some idea of the issues with the 320 when they filled the complaint after the contract award.
I'm also kinda glad I've decided to get a VP9 as my first pistol.
Yea the bit at 2:20 could be confusing as hell to a new shooter who doesn't understand the rising trajectory she is talking about is in reference to the shooters line of sight.
In NC you need to apply for a Pistol Purchase Permit. All I have to do is apply online and go to the sheriffs office and pick them up a few days latter. Basically its a $5 tax on each pistol purchase put in place to prevent minority's from getting pistols during the Jim Crow era. From what I can...
This is going the same place as all the other wildcat AR cartridges.
Nowhere. It will catch on in a few niche markets and people will wax poetically about its marginally improved performance over 5.56 and that will be it. Just like the whole host of AR wildcats before it.
The first time I played Dead Space I got to the elevator bit when it starts playing Twinkle Twinkle right around 3 am and just shut the game off and didn't get to sleep until the sun came up.
Whats funny is the NYC liberals want to get rid of the "gravity knife" law because the NYPD are using it to keep arrest numbers up in the city. It lets the NYPD say they took X number of dangerous weapons off the street, but they don't mention the vast majority of those 'dangerous weapons' are...
I'll second the PA red dot, their stuff might not be made in the USA but it's still reasonablely good quality for the price.
If you do want iron sights any of the 3 you mentioned are good.
I actually kinda like the traditional a frame front sight. Good luck finding a removable carry handle though.
Strikefire 2, I love it, its the red/green one that game with the mount and a hat.
Its a pain to open but not terrible, I haven't decided what I should store in in. It shouldn't be sealed in. The stock just fits over a standard A2 tube.
It is a PSA, I'll see how it holds up. Its a budget...
At this point other than put a different fore end on it ill just buy another gun. I've got a functional AR, i'd like to get some other guns, like an ak pattern, and a bullpup before I get another AR.
Nothing fancy but it's exactly what I wanted,
Anderson lower with a Brownells lower parts kit. Nickel boron trigger parts, the upper is a PSA 16" SS barrel with mid length gas. The forend and grip are Magpul as well because I got them on sale and it's got a Vortex Strikefire 2 on top.
I tried...
I took a beginner pistol handling and safety class at Calibers down here in Greensboro, NC and this is the result.
I shot a Glock 19, S&W M&P, Springfield XD, and a HK VP9. Target was at 5 yards. The targets weren't in any particular order but each shape was shot five times.
Of the four...
So much this. Being an gunsmith and having an FFL does not necessarily make someone less ignorant of the law. For example here's a short list of stupid false statements I've been told by FFL's in or about this state.
1- All threaded barrels are illegal.
1.2- All muzzle devices are illegal.
2-...
After I got three calls in under a week I asked to speak to the callers supervisor and then told the supervisor if they called me again I was going to end my membership and file a complaint. That was back in September and I haven't had a call since.
I still get at least one begging letter a...
I have a T3, one of the older ones in 5.56, its a great gun but be aware it has a few issues. Which I posted about here Tikka T3 Dilemma
Its one of the smoothest bolt actions I've handled, it is also incredibly accurate.
ThomasNet® - Category Service Results - Titanium Nitride Coating Services
If you cannot find anyone on that list willing to do gun parts, I'd recommend sending them out of state to someone who specialized in coating firearms.
Also keep in mind that list is of industrial services, they may...
It was coming, after several major companies pulled their adds from youtube, because of googles inability to police content and submissions ads were showing on some pretty nasty vids. So Google has responded by pulling ads from an anything that is not 100% in line with the PC police. It's not...
Looks interesting but I don't see the advantage over just using a boar grip. In fact it seems like a disadvantage because i can just switch to a A2 grip in a few minutes.
I'd call a vet. Too be fair all the vet is going to do is tell you to watch him and make sure he poos. If he does stop, take him to the vet immediately.
