That Ithaca Model 1911 A1 looks nice. Theres also a few Sakos that are interesting.
@Bullet Guy Living in NC how would I go about buying one of these if I win the bid? Would the auction house ship it to an FFL down here? Or would it have to be picked up in person?
I dropped midway after it took them two weeks to ship a pair of gloves. That is two weeks after they charged my CC.
What other places are there to get a reasonable selection of mil surp stuff online?
My money is on bad heat treat as well. I just cant see a pin like that bending if it was hardened properly. If it was I would think it would be more likely to crack then bend.
Or Brownells supplier is building out of substandard metal and not heat treating.
Hexmag Series 2 AR-15 .223/5.56 10/30-Round Polymer Magazine
Not as good a deal as the $5.99 ones I posted a few months back, but it's still a reasonable deal or range mags.
I've got 10 of these, they have functioned just fine so far. I'd put them a step up from the iwi mags that sig blows...
I went primarily to meet local vendors and look for the 2 or 3 items I would actually buy if I found them at a reasonable price.
I'm new to the area and didn't know there was a gunsmith with a lazer cutter/etcher, cnc mill, and a whole bunch of other cool equipment less than 30 minutes away...
I went to a gun show down here in NC today. It was OK at best. Good things included dirt cheap com bloc mags of all types, lots of old hunting bolt guns for cheap, used optics for reasonable prices, several local gun related shops.
The bad. $11 to park and another $11 to get into the venue...
This is just a several thousand dollar way to give the finger to the ATF. With the bottom of the AR15 market dropped so far it is entirely possible to build a 11.5" barrel pistol with a echo trigger and pay the $200 stamp and still remain around half what this thing costs.
Magnum Research MR9 Eagle Stainless 9mm Pistol - Hyatt Gun Store
For those of you who don't know, not only does this look like a P99, it is a P99.
Wookies Words: Walther P99 vs Magnum Research Baby Desert Eagle (P99 clone)
@Darth
I never understoodpeople who complain about guns being too loud at thr range. Especially since everyone i have personally witnessed either had no ear pro or was wearing their ear pro improperly. The worst one was at a state range down here where a guy came up from the at the time cold pistol...
Glock is going to be Glock and fail to inovate and continue to ignore consumer feedback. I'm all for don't fix what isn't broken but stagnation is death and Glock no longer has a lack of competition. Pretty much every arms manufacturer offers a polymer framed compact handgun and a good number...
Boring is a better word.
Reliability is so overrated, 99% of users are never going to be dumping their gun in mud or sand or burying it their backyard uncased for a year. The VP9 is perfectly reliable for what I use it for. Shooting targets at the range.
If I made all my gun purchase decisions...
I liked my 19 until I came to the realization that it was the Corolla of the gun world. Then I sold it, however it wasn't a bad gun. My only problem with Glock is they never innovate.
Its starting to get frustrating, Ive wanted to get one of the regular RDB for months now and everytime I stop at the gun store they say they cant even order one from their suppliers. They can't get RFBs either and getting KSGs is spotty as well. I like to order though my local shops but at this...
Its aluminum, if your not afraid of voiding the warranty just mill the thing to fit in whatever hand guard you want. Sure you will have less heat transfer because of lost surface area but it should still be better than just the barrel.
Do the AR10, the M1s are nice guns but an AR10 is lighter and more accurate. If you have the equipment you can build an AR10 from individual parts and get exactly what you want for half the price of a M1a.
Yep, There is something like 5 bills right now in various stages in the house and senate. H.R.38 - Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 got combined with H.R.4477 - Fix NICS Act of 2017. The combined bill then passed the House into the senate and sent to the senate judiciary committee. HR...
If I remember correctly he's the guy you see at the start take off running away from the fire, whilst his companions all stay on the road at the vehicles to tend yo wounded or return fire.
• A semiautomatic shotgun having at least one of the following characteristics:
a. Folding or Telescoping Stock b. Thumbhole Stock
c. Second Handgrip or Protruding Grip that can be held by non-trigger hand d. Fixed magazine capacity in excess of seven rounds
e. An ability to accept a detachable...
Over priced, way over priced. You can build a 6.5 cm AR for half that and it would probably be more accurate and weigh less. I've seen BNIB Ruger PR in 6.5 go for less than $1k.
Those are thr republicans who voted against, and the democrats that voted for hr 38.
Oh i know, i don't actually think it will make it on to the Senate floor or even be voted on by the Senate in its current form.
This is probably going to get passed to the Senate and ignored or amended with something we really don't want and the sent back to the house where it will be scrapped. If a fix NICS bill or a reciprocity bill make it to the president before this session ends I'll be shocked.
