The safe act made illegal possession even in the home a felony (used to be a misdemeanor). But since she’s a member of the right club she gets nothing, not even a fine, just a soft warning. Had it been an average Joe, Jumbo James and Kathy Whorechul would be boasting on how they’re getting guns...
There was a psychic store on main st in Beacon (Dutchess County) that had a guns welcome sign. I wish I’ve taken a picture quite an interesting find in such a liberal city.
I’m interested in how the process goes for you for NJ. I thought of applying back when it cost $50 and before their version of the CCIA was signed into law post Bruen. I guess I missed my opportunity the democraps don’t waste time to defy SCOTUS. I did apply for NYC’s special carry though, so we...
The one thing you should know about Colorado is that open carry is banned in the city of Denver, so unless you have a resident permit from a reciprocal state you cannot carry in Denver. The democrats in the state legislature also repealed their preemption law, so you’re going to have a couple of...
NYPD has been accepting (and already granted a few) special carry licenses to NYS residents with permits issued outside NYC. Due to the Bruen ruling they are shall issue, however you still have to jump through a million hoops, assuming you meet all the requirements for a NYS pistol license they...
After initial conflicting reports the victim of the Sullivan law only had a rifle/shotgun permit for NYC (no pistol license). Only 6 out of the 30 firearms were registered with NYPD. This could be a great case to strike down the Sullivan law, however knowing how dirty NYC plays they might just...
I’m sure there’s plenty of upstate folks with full carry permits that wish to legally carry in NYC. They’re the perfect candidate to challenge PL 400 which makes their permits invalid in the city without the blessing of the NYPD commissioner.
They reached out to me by email about the best time to call me to screen me out. They also asked for my social media (this was before the Bruen decision). They must be looking for plaintiffs with zero skeletons in the closet.
Is there an “other” for unlisted manufacturers? I would try asking in the nyguns subreddit, there appears to be more NYC residents with permits over there.
OP:
A couple of years ago an FFL out on Long Island contacted the NYPD rifle/shotgun section about registering a TROY PUMP ACTION AR15 variant that they were willing to sell to a NYC resident, guess what the nypd’s answer was?
I wouldn’t waste my time contacting them. If moving isn’t an option...
I spoke to one of their attorneys a few years ago while they were looking for plaintiffs to challenge the AWB, and they gathered some information. I’ll gladly be a plaintiff here as well.
They’ve been denying renewals of people that had them for decades, without being a celebrity/friend of the mayor it is very unlikely for your application to be approved. At best if you have a strong case you can get a “limited business carry” that will be valid from Monday to Friday 8am to 5 pm...

They have been spamming my burner email for years, they appear to be another Dudley Brown type organization that claims victory whenever pro gun legislation becomes law, and...
Word on the street is that the same letters were mailed out to gun owners with a June 15th date. It is not clear if they were a second notice or a first one to people that did not get one with the may 20th date.
My guess is that the anti gun zealot Suffolk County DA is looking to collect a good amount of them surrendered by the buyers for his press conference photo op, he still hasn’t done one for arresting the gun store owner and his son.
Multiple FFL’s throughout NY are selling these weapons arguing it does not fall into the definition of a rifle, SBR, or pistol. Since NY law is silent on these other weapons it is presumed to be legal like a mossberg shockwave is. The reason the SCPD knows about them is because the owner and his...
I wonder what the backstory is, the shockwave is openly sold all over NYS. Suffolk county pistol licensing bureau even typed a letter to FFL’s stating that in their opinion the shockwave was legal to own without a pistol license, and it did not meet the NYS definition of a short barrel shotgun.
OP South Shore Sportsman (Merrick and Islip Locations) are still open by appointment only, give them a call and ask what they have available. It will save you precious time. I was at the Islip location last weekend before they closed to the general public and they had a limited selection of bolt...
Theres is no such thing as an illegal gun, if they can be trusted by society to not be incarcerated, can still posses knifes and other deadly weapons, they have the same 2A rights as all law abiding people.
I love it when pro 2A people say Things like “he was a felon”, he served xyz years for previous crimes, etc. So what? They are not truly pro 2A if they are ok with free citizens (no longer incarcerated) having their rights violated, because a gun was found in the glove compartment, or in their...
When commie Bernie mentioned that incarcerated individuals should have the right to vote (like the Boston marathon bomber), he implied that the bill of rights should apply to all individuals, even “bad guys” and “thugs”. While he is wrong that you should have your full rights while incarcerated...
Drinking the neocon warmongering kool aid once again, when will we ever learn? How about bringing ALL the troops home so we won’t have to worry about putting them in harms way in those shithole countries. Never mind that won’t enrich the military industrial complex, no war is bad for business.
They’re not going to tell us the full story that’s for sure. Just a guess, he misplaces the gun at the range/hunting area somewhere, can’t remember where he could have lost it and reports it stolen instead of telling the truth that he has no idea where he misplaced it. Someone has already found...
This guy, one of the 3 plaintiffs in the SCOTUS case is a major FUDD. I sure hope someone beats the stupid out of him and explains to him the true meaning of the 2A. NYSRPA has failed in educating its members. I hope he gets his guns back, SCOTUS rips NYC a new one and he quits being a FUDD...
If you shoot the burglar in the back of the head after they have ran away from your house into your neighbor’s you are likely to get charged, even in free America shooting fleeing felons is a no no.

Only way he could have been charged with a crime if this was NY is if he lacked a pistol permit, like in the case of the homeowner who used his deceased father’s gun. But not for murder, even by NY standards this shooting is 100% justified end of story.
Jury nullification is the only thing that will save this man. His gofund me page stopped taking donations, but apparently gunpolicyNY and the firearms policy coalition are helping out.
There is no such thing as a gun trafficking crime, there shouldn’t be “gun crimes” in the first place for mere possession. The only crimes that should ever exist gun wise is using one during the commission of a crime (murder, robbery, assault, menacing, etc).

With leaders like FUDD Tom King why even have an NRA chapter in NY? He might as well join as the new spokesperson for the Brady campaign.
FUTK Fudd traitor.
I hope NYSRPA is successful...
Maybe they thought you were an anti 2A operative when you flashed your NYPD badge. Don't forget Bloomberg sent out undercover investigators around NY and out of state to get FFL's in trouble and file lawsuits, even got 2 of them within NYC arrested on bogus charges. There is also the precedent...
Treat it the same as carrying pepper spray or a folding knife in NYC. Concealed is concealed, nobody will know unless the unlikely happens and you are forced to use it in self defense. You should have asked those cops if they would make an arrest if they see it.
